Any Fallout players around here? Fallout 4 was released in 2015, and Bethesda just dropped a teaser for Fallout 76...just in time to show it off at E3.

I’m not sure if Bethesda actually developed this one, or if another studio did (like Obsidian with New Vegas), because Bethesda’s in-house studio was supposed to be working on a completely new IP with the new Elder Scrolls game in the queue after that. They also formed an off-shoot studio a few years ago that hasn’t released anything of note, yet, so this could be their game. Or maybe their in-house studio did develop this one, and they’ve just been keeping it a secret.

New Vegas blew FO3 out of the water, FO4 was more similar to 3 than NV... great gameplay but poor story telling. i really hope they go the route of New Vegas for 76. i have probably 100+ hours in FO4, i would say double that for NV, and maybe 30 on 3. love the Fallout series.

i've been running mods on FO4 just to make things fresh and more fun.

Not encouraging:

People are talking that it may be an MMO, or at least put a heavy emphasis on co-op.

Bethesda is the developer on this one. A lot of people online are thinking it'll be based around a settlement-building kind of deal as opposed to the last game. This one is apparently set way before the other ones as far as time after the bombs dropped, something like 25 years after. There's a decent write up on gamespot about it, but not a ton of info yet. E3 is supposed to be the big reveal with this one and Rage 2. Vault 76 is mentioned in FO 3 and 4, but you can never find the damn place. Apparently, its a control vault with no real experiments on the people, and was supposed to be opened 20 years after the bombs fell to help rebuild society.

I'm hoping its not just an MMO. The open world single player feel of the last few games is what made me like them so much.

I honestly wouldn’t mind a Fallout MMO similar to Elder Scrolls Online. I’m not a fan of the Elder Scrolls series, but I love Fallout and that would be fun and more interesting imo. I’ll honestly play the game no matter what it is. I’m not picky or looking for an original RPG game, so whatever.

Fyi, that Jason guy who is a writer for Kotaku isn’t that credible as far as it goes. He’s been blacklisted by Bethesda and he only chose to release info the day of the teaser, a couple weeks before E3.
