Facebook Marketplace Selling Experiences?

Would anyone care to share his Facebook Marketplace selling experience(s)? I have bought and sold several things over the years on craigslist. I have also bought a few things from Facebook Marketplace, but never sold anything. How does Marketplace compare to craigslist? Anything to look out for that is specific to Marketplace?

Thanks.

I have used FB market to sell cars, antiques and a wide range of goods with great success. Highly recommend in my opinion.

"Is this still available?"

Get used to seeing that message pop-up....a lot. I sold a CRF250R a few months ago and I've got a mountain bike listed there now. Other than the annoying spamming of the, "is this still available" canned message, the selling experience is much like CL, except in this case, you peek in on the buyer (considering their privacy settings allow).

I’ve used it twice. Once as a buyer and once as a seller. Zero issues either time.

I've sold 3 motorcycles ,1 Mnt.bike, golf cart, generator, plus a few other miscellaneous items on Marketplace. I've had all positive experience not only selling, also buying on Marketplace.

Craigslist is dead..FB market place is the go to for buying and selling. I sold my Toyota Tundra and listed it on FB and Craigslist. I got one response from Craigslist and 50+ from FB and sold it via FB.

As mentioned above the “is this still available” drives me nuts, but you will see that is the default message from FB when you click on “message seller”..so I try not to get too irritated.

We have FB groups for our town and county that we sell/buy most small shit..these are folks who live in my area so totally safe (keep in mind I don’t live in a shitty city like Milwaukee)..

At this point FB marketplace is the only place to buy and sell shit...

You can reach a lot of people on Facebook marketplace. It’s helped my business a lot in the last couple of years. Makes it so easy to find new customers.

I put four things on craigslist yesterday and got four spam text messages about ten minutes later on each.

I have some other things on craigslist for a few months and have received almost no response.

I recently sold a couple of my bikes and a truck off of Facebook, for all 3 listings I posted all on Marketplace and craigslist. The buyer of the first bike messaged me literally about 10 minutes after I had posted it, my truck was sold in about an hour, and the other bike took a couple weeks but had way more interest on Facebook rather than craigslist.

The "is this still available" or "do you have more photos?" messages are a few of the preset messages on Facebook you can tap once to send, I guess a lot of people hit them on accident

I use Ebay, FB and CL everyweek. Buy and sell. I have had good success with all 3. All 3 provide variables of marketing and selling. Just in my opinion only I would think that Ebay could be your best choice for items mentioned. Fees are higher yet audience is much larger.

Disagree- FB is best place to sell stuff like this- No fees and no need to box the shit up and ship it.

eBay will eventually become a vehicle selling place only.
