Not yet spydee, haas looking good

Not bad. A little plain but I like it.

Had it been up to me I would of done black right down the middle/top of the car with the little pin stripe in red. Basicly I would of continued the front of the car's theme all the way across to the back.

Are they going with an American driver?

ESPN going the cheap route not having their own commentary crew as far as I'm concerned. But I'm sure the Sky team, Brundle and theteam will be fine. Will Buxton is a definite loss to the broadcast.

Well Liberty Media, instead of being politically correct by offing grid girls should’ve concentrated on getting an American driver into F1, which would’ve upped there ratings here in the states

I like Will Buxton, David Hobbs and Matchett, Diffey can go back to Australia, wouldn’t miss the guy

So excited to see what Alonso can do this year

I like that he did the 24 at Daytona and raced Indy last year, very old school F1, they just don't seem to do that anymore, glad he broke the mold, although lance Stroll was racing Daytona but didn't get much hype

Why? The halo

Alonso has a big schedule this year. He's racing 25 races. F1, WEC and Le Mans. He's racing Le Mans 24 hour race this year and 2019.

I think he's only missing the one WEC race (Fuji) to race F1. He's got quite the schedule for 2018.

Starting at the F1 Canadian GP he races 5 weekends in a row which includes the Le Mans 24 hour race. At the end of the year he goes from the Brazilian F1 GP to Shanghai for the WEC race then over to Abu Dhabi for the final F1 GP.

That's a whole lot of traveling. I guess it's not bad when you're paid 30 million to do it.

Formula 1 should look at a globe when they make the schedule, Europe then to north america and back to Europe, that's got to be a heavy expense on the teams

World Endurance Championship race moved to avoid Fernando Alonso-U.S. GP clash

The World Endurance Championship has changed the date of its Fuji race to avoid a clash with the U.S. Grand Prix which would have prevented Fernando Alonso from competing at Toyota's home event.

The McLaren driver has signed up to contest the Le Mans 24 Hours this year and every round of WEC which does not clash with an F1 race. Originally, that had been four of the five races slated for 2018, with only the six-hour Fuji race presenting an overlap.



WEC has moved the event forward by a week to ensure the two-time world champion can take part. This week Toyota released footage of Alonso at the wheel of the car he will drive this season, with the Spaniard comparing it to a "rocket ship". He will partner former F1 drivers Sébastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima in the No.8 car for this year.

Alonso's activities away from F1 continue his quest to secure motor racing's Triple Crown, which is victory at the Monaco Grand Prix, Indy 500 and Le Mans 24 Hours. With two wins in Monaco he has two stages left. He competed at the Indy 500 last year but retired due to an engine failure in the closing stages. On that occasion he missed the Monaco Grand Prix but, with McLaren expecting to be more competitive this year with Renault power, the team was keen to ensure he did not sacrifice any F1 commitments this time around.

The Fuji change means Alonso's 2018 remaining race calendar now looks as follows:

Well we have Niki lauda to thank for that, btw they should put glass panes in the halo, I think it would make them more appealing

I hear you Spydee. It was like almost every race. And even when those motors were running , they were really down on power. Long starits , flap open.....and still just get yarded by the car in front of him. Guys blowing past him like he was standing still. Felt really bad for him......god that Honda motor sucked! The Honda's work well in Indy , but not in F1. Even though they are a lot different......reliability is a lot different.

Bigger question.....what the heck was happening to Max's motors , and not happening to Riccardo's? Max had a lot of engine failures this past season too. Bad luck for one , but I think he was over driving the car and pushing that motor harder then what he should have. Daniel is super smooth on the throttle. Guess with age , comes experience. Looking forward to seeing someone get up there and fight those Mercedes and Ferrari's.
