Emotional Endings...or Beginning of Series?

Its not often that TV series can set me up for emotional times, but tonights season kickoff of Nat Geo's "Wicked Tuna" literally brought me to tears when Tyler caught his 1st fish without his mate Duffy by his side. I have followed this series for quite a few seasons and having Duffy gone is pretty sad.

Anyway, this made me think of other series TV or otherwise, and damn it is easy to get wrapped up emotionally in these shows. Yea this thread will probably die without maybe a response or two if lucky, but i had to do it for Duffy.

I'll watch the Tuna show because it reminds me of fishing on my uncles small commercial boat out of Bodega Bay and Ft. Bragg when I was in my teens.
Don't know all of the story lines but it would be tough to go back out without your buddy you've fished with for years. I get it Scottie.

I was pretty upset when Steve Irwin died. My sons were young and it was a show we loved to watched together.

As a family we watched every episode of "The Middle" together. Saw a lot of ourselves in the characters. So when the last episode aired it was bittersweet.

Yeah it was bittersweet when Cheers ended. Guy came down the steps to the bar and Sam said "sorry we're closed" and turned out the lights.

Sorry for no replies, i have been on my death bed since last night, fucking miserable! Been a real rough night / day, love all the replies though! Keep 'em coming, hopefully i can shake this shit off by tomorrow.

I redid all of the motion graphics for Wicked Tuna season 7... not sure if they're using them again this year.

Anthony Edwards characters death on ER was a tough one. Bobby Simone (Jimmy Smits) one NYPD Blue was another.

That is way cool man. The series 8 just started last night, it was a heavy beginning without Duffy bro.....man i was so choked up as it began.

I'm a wicked fan of Wicked Tuna and the loss of Duffy was a huge bummer, he actually passed in June of 2018. No cause of death has been released, but suspicions are obvious. He was in a lot of trouble with the Pourtsmouth PD before his passing.Tyler has been through a lot woth mates. When Lance left Maine Cabin Masters to raise his newborn son that was a bummer too. Lance was such a laid back dude he was hilarious. Those guys have the life, Maine is such an amazing place. Hope you feel better OC. You're a legend on this show!!
