Our local power company offers $100 if you turn in you're gas powered mower towards the purchase of an electric one. Mine is really old, the bag is barely hanging on but it still runs even though it bogs down in the tall stuff. Also I notice gas fumes around it even though I changed the fuel lines last yr, this spooks me as I already have had a house fire. I keep it outside but under the stairs.

My backyard lawn is fairly small, so I'm thinking of making the switch but know nothing about them.

Anyone have one?

thx,
G

btw I have never changed the oil, how do thes things just keep running? lol

Do it. Then buy the electric mower..........sell it on craigs list, and buy a new gas mower. Problem solved.

I hear ya JT, I have some neighbors that I think are from the Twighlight Zone. The kid "Robert Kennedy" (no lie) could easily be one of those youths (he's in his early 20's does not wk) that would go to a mall & shoot people.

Then Raider/Laker nation is across the street and to the right of me are some mormons who keep pumping out kids!

Damn why can't they be "normal" like me......lol

My Grandpa used to cut over .75 of an acre with an electric mower, it was like painting the golden gate bridge it never ended, he would do a little bit a day. One day I cut the whole yard, fought the f#@king cords all day thinking I would help him out, when he got home he chewed my ass out, said what the fuck am I going to do all week.

If you do go with the electric lawn mower I would suggest going with the wireless power.

Saying "you drew first blood..."

About a post on a message board is just about as stupid as anyone could probably ever get.

Why bother with an electric mower? They are a pain in the ass. Just get the old school spinning blade push mower if you wanna save the world.

Fiskars Staysharp Max Reel Mower which is of 18-Inch is the best product to clean lawn known to me so far.. It has exclusive StaySharp Cutting System cuts grass without blades touching for long-lasting performance without costly annual blade sharpening.I would definitely recommend this mower if anyone needs or want a manual lawn mower

Haha. I was reading along and reading the bickering above then the date of the posts caught my attention. WTF?

The one post wonders are the worst. There's been a couple this year that bumped an old thread without any apparent motive. Those leave me scratching my head the most. . . I see what this one is doing.

Here is another one. . . What is that 350SX trying to do?

They offered the America deal here a few years ago. I did it and really like it. Do have a small yard but can do it a couple times on a single charge. Same battery for 4 years now .
