Check this out.
Knowing russians, it does not surprise me one bit. It will be interesting to see if they are banned from Rio.

Armstrong isn't the only American doper.

"The Times" are saying that Russia will not be allowed to participate in Olympics in Rio.

You're right about the olympics being a cluster. I've seen a couple of stories of athletes already being attacked. I believe it was some paralympians.

Russian athletes are doing a smart thing- they declare that they are living in military bases. Therefor WADA needs to call to the base and arrange their inspections few weeks prior to be granted access. Athlete knows exactly when they are coming. Whole testing thing becomes a joke.

The bribes must have been flying thick and fast for the Olympics to be awarded to freaking Rio.

Our city is considering a bid for the 2026 winter olympics. I say the IOC can go to hell.

A sampling of some of the demands that threw Oslo out of 2022 and expected for Calgary.

• Separate lanes should be created on all roads where IOC members will travel, which are not to be used by regular people or public transportation.

• The hotel bar at their hotel should extend its hours “extra late” and the minibars must stock Coke products.

• The IOC president shall be welcomed ceremoniously on the runway when he arrives.

• The IOC members should have separate entrances and exits to and from the airport.

• During the opening and closing ceremonies a fully stocked bar shall be available. During competition days, wine and beer will do at the stadium lounge.

• IOC members shall be greeted with a smile when arriving at their hotel.

• Meeting rooms shall be kept at exactly 20 degrees Celsius at all times.

• The hot food offered in the lounges at venues should be replaced at regular intervals, as IOC members might “risk” having to eat several meals at the same lounge during the Olympics.

That’s just the tip of the tip of the iceberg. There were actually over 7000 pages of demands from the IOC.

There are 45 positive cases of doping from 2008 and 2012 Olimpics. They are all medalists from those games. We have to wait B sample testing to know the names.

In Olimpics in Sochi, there were 12 failed tests by russian athletes who got a medal. 4 of them gold. Failed tests were replaced by russian officials.
WADA just came out with a part two of their investigation.

The newest findings is that russians used manipulations with timing to give advance to russian athletes. Latvians were saying this right away, in a same evening skeleton and bobsled was held. But they had no proof since camera angles and the time in which each camera showed the sportsmen did not give any proof. There was a different standard for russians.
