100% correct. I was a domestic violence councilor for years and let me tell you, this kind of stuff can and will indeed escalate.

I happened to be watching that, only because I had read that the first episode gave insight to their fucked up marriage, so I wanted to see (they have no business being together). I never watch those shows, they're stupid, but I was interested on seeing this initial episode due to what I read.
That said, while fucking around he scuffed or broke her pedicure/toenail and in my opinion, her "swinging" at him was playful.
IMO, this is overblowing it and it's PC run amok

Kris Humphries was actually cast as her husband by the production company.

He was their second choice.

I forget who the first choice was, but he wanted nothing to do with it.

The whole marriage and divorce was planned in advance.

The last straw for me was that VH1 rehab show where he exploited the hell out of these c-lister addicts (some of which are now deceased) to grab ratings.

I really believe he's a really smart guy that just decided somewhere along the line money was more important than what he set out to do.
