Lowest since 1992. Last year was down 5.2%. Who would have thought with millions of refugies flooding Germany in recent years.

violent crime has been decreasing in most devolped countires for a while, however the 24 hour news cycle and how easy it is to spread stuff on social media does not show it that way,

If you have an agenda you can manipulate the data to say whatever you want. For example, is crime down as a percentage or have the number of actual crimes decreased?

If you add a million refugees your crime rate might drop, but actual number of crimes may increase..

A good example of misleading data is Chicago..it is the murder capital of the USA in actual number of murders, but the “murder rate” is lower than several other cities because the shear population surrounding the dangerous parts of the city.

Data manipulation- If a small town of 10 people have 1 murder in 2018 you could say the “murder rate” is very high, but in no way is that town dangerous..

Increased media coverage can give the impression of increases in certain crimes.

Until I see the raw figures, ie how many stabbings, shooting, robberies, rapes etc I wont take any news report to seriously.

Germany , among other countries also have a lot of " no-go zones ".......where the police won't even go. If you are born and raised in Germany , those areas are place you just don't go , unless you're fucking crazy. Not hard to get the crime rate percentage down......when they don't even patrol the rough areas any more. Sweden , parts of the UK , France are all screwed if you watch some of the non-main stream news. Major news station's don't want to report it.

That is the same thing , with different people in South Africa and Australia. The crime against white people , or just normal citizen's is just fucking crazy!

There is a huge migration happening.....and it's happening for all the wrong reason's. And the native people are suffering for it.

maybe they should have Crime Free Zones, they could put up signs in different areas so that everyone knows where they can and cannot partake in criminal activity. that or ban crime all together, make it illegal.

Look, places where the police won't go doesn't exist in Sweden. Places I wouldn't go to however does exist in Sweden.

A few years back there was a debate that the paramedics wanted police escort in some of these "no-go zones", that's as far as it has gone.

These "no-go zones" have been twisted from what is called "särskilt utsatta områden" in Sweden. And it's pretty much just bad neighbourhoods where they feel like criminals have the power. Doesn't mean police won't go there

I have no idea as I have no desire to go there. But I’m guessing, from what I hear in the media that South side Chicago is pretty dangerous. I guess it is what a person defines as danger. You know if you look hard enough you will find crime is up, crime is down, there is no crime at all. It depends on the source. One reason I find it hard to believe anything I read from the media anymore.

Now using common sense. If you have 800,000 people migrating to a Country with no jobs, who knows what kind of labor skills, very little possessions and arriving from a area where it is kill or be killed, I’m just assuming that the crime rate would increase significantly just for these immigrants to have a chance at survival. Not saying I’m right, it just makes sense to me
