There’s little positivity in today’s dialogue. Public debates, exemplified by some posts on this site, are riddled with hateful comments. What purpose does that serve? Does venting really accomplish anything? Could we not have a discourse focused on making meaningful changes, versus railing against those with opposing views? I understand a person’s dislike of Pelosi’s political stance; subversively calling for her death has little value, and would serve to do the opposite of what they think would be accomplished.
My parents are in their 80’s and will likely go to their graves ranting against the left and the mainstream media. I cannot imagine a worse way to spend a person’s golden years, when there are so many things to be thankful for. Part of that is aging, but if they would simply turn off their TV and stay off social media, they would discover that 99% of the stuff they hate has little to no bearing on their lives. Unless they let it.

What it seems is your finally beginning to realize the difference between one administration that spent it's time building, and another administration spending its time tearing it down. There were policy's in place to help keep China and it's advancement vison in check. But not so much anymore. The difference in this country, the difference other country's from just 18 months ago is what should be alarming you, not public discourse.
She's doing important work as far as the Chinese communists are concerned.
IE, the fleecing of America by China.
For all the bluster over her visit it's largely symbolic rhetoric.
They have to say something and talk tough.
But again she is no threat economically and certainly not going to hold them to task for their various forms of economic war fare.
