Cell Phone Signal Interrupted

For years I've ridden my street bike with wired earbuds connected to my phone streaming from a music service. I put the cell in my tank bag and go about my ride. I recently bought a new Ducati and whenever I'm riding/listening and I wind up the engine past 6,000 RPM, the signal get's warbled somehow and the music sounds like someone is pushing on a turntable. It's hard to believe there is an electrical signal strong enough near the tank to interrupt the cell signal but that what seems to be happening.

Any thoughts or ideas?
