Kind of tempted for nostalgia sake. I had a silver 1980. I do remember the tuning issues and of course parts availability would be a pain. Not that I'd be riding it too much, but damn, it would be pretty cool. Pricey, but cool.

$27,000 for a bike that you can't ride seems a little steep. It has 150 miles on it that's what makes it valuable. As it sits, if it's correct, it's a measuring stick or Touchstone for those wanting to restore these bikes. Kind of like a Bloomington gold for a Corvette. On the other hand, you are right. It would be way cool to be able to take this baby out and ride it as it was intended, Instead of preserving it in a museum or hiding it in a hermetically-sealed garage. They're great bikes and many parts are available.

Only saw one of those "in the wild" back in the day. Heard it first actually, caught my attention right away.

Disconnect the Speedo and ride it! But that's an investment right there

This bike only has 150.1 miles on the clocks since the engine rebuild...

Friend of mine has one in his garage with zero miles. His dad was a motorcycle mechanics instructor at a local community college and used an 81 model as a demo. He has one with 22 miles on it that they used as a model to tear down and rebuild each semester. Both of them are complete and pristine. Just awesome bikes
