James and his Blue light deal reminded me of a incident when I was about 22.
Early one morning my buddy and myself were heading to the beach for a surf. We pass these two good looking bitches, we try get their attention, they ignore us so my buddy drops his pants and moons them out the window. I join in with the universal fuck hand signal...they were two female officers...
We recieved 200 hrs community service and spent 4 days working in the local fire station gardens.
We live and we learn.

The Shop
Turns out it wasn't a crime.
For the last 30 years I've always been the guy that has to deal with the cops when they show up. For all the crazy shit we've gotten into (and there has been plenty of it), nobody has been arrested on my watch.
I just go to court and plea deal. They just want some money in exchange for a non moving violation so insurance doesn’t go up.
Of course I’m so criminal.....I get popped for window tint and speed only. Thug lyfe. Had a bench warrant for a parking ticket. Army told me about that one when I was commissioning. $10 fine. City couldn’t even find it when I inquired so they dropped it. but the military knows everything lol.
At 18 a buddy and I were riding our motocross bikes in a gravel pit close to my parents house. On our way back home (which was about a one mile on the road) I pulled over because my bike was making a strange noise and I found the axle nut about to fall off. Just as I got off my bike a cop pulled up behind me- he had a noise complaint from someone in the trailer park near the gravel pit.
He arrested me for trespassing... thankfully the gravel pit owner wouldn’t press charges. Instead the cop gave me 2 tickets- “Operating a motorcycle on the road without a license” and “ Racing on the Hwy”...at the time I still had my probation auto license- which means you get double points after your first ticket. Lost my license for 6 months!
Glad not yet here.
I was in the car with a friend who picked a race with another guy on the highway well in excess of 100mph when a cop jumped in. Friend tried to exit and run but there were more waiting at the intersection with guns drawn. I got to walk, buddy went to jail. No cell phones back then , pretty long walk!
He was punching a girl, so I kicked his ass.
Cops came, and threw me in jail. They let me out the next day, but damn.
The cop who took me said "if I could take you to dinner, I would".
Never do it again. Just seems like and the god Samaritan goes to jail!
Pit Row
I've never come close to going to Jail! But I knew if I got in trouble my dad or my Brother (A Police Sgt ) would kick my Ass!
At 24 I had been inside of the local county jail Hospital wards to transfer prisoners,
I also knew better then to even get a speeding ticket, As a LAFD Paramedic it was highly frowned apond & if you did you could loose your job if you were still a probie.
The two cool things that saved me were that my car was registered to my Brother & me, Also having that LAFD Badge helped a time or two.
I'm usually the guy to talk to the police when they show up to help prevent my friends from getting arrested.
After slapping on the jewelry and escorting me to the the rear bench seat, we made our way to the station. En route the trooper ask if I was familiar with the term "interceptor". I said I was not, and he proceeded to demonstrate exactly how he made short work of my getaway plans. (Cruising through town waiving at my friends while cuffed did not endear me to the trooper, either.)
Alas, my record was expunged, as a clerical error prevented the serious charges from being levied. I walked away with a relatively minor speeding violation, avoiding the more damaging "eluding arrest" and "unsafe driving" (I killed the lights after making a bootleg turn that would have brought a tear to Burt Reynolds' eye).
That was the extend of my arrests. I may have been young, but I also understood the significant differences in being a minor and an adult.
