Bike build questions

1) I have an 2002 yz 250, I stripped it down to the frame and want to get it painted. What is the best paint to use? Powder coat or ?? 2) it’s not going to be a total rebuild. Paint the frame, new top end, clean everything up, new graphics, clutch, bars. Will this qualify to be put in the bike build thread or just good maintenance? Haha.

Powder coat is 10X harder than paint. In the long run you’ll be glad you chose powder over paint.

This is what I’m starting with. It’s been sitting in garage for 7 years. I’m 59 and starting to feel the itch again.

X3 on the powder coat. Just make sure you tell them you still want your vin numbers visible after coating. My cousin learned this the hard way and it was on thick enough for the numbers to no longer be visible.

And make sure they plug all the holes.

You don't want to be chasing threads and reaming holes for days.
