I am still running the original tires on my 2011 truck. I got 135,000 miles out of the Goodrich Long Trail T/A. They are looking rough though.
So the tire guy tells me they are discontinued. He said they are so good they couldn't make money off them (I don't know if he was serious).
He threw a different brands at me, but I was wondering what moto guys have good luck with. I do a good bit of forest trail running in my truck, but a lot of highway too. I use my truck for everything and I won't be getting into too much mud anytime soon.

Places like Tire Rack have a rating system and customer review that is helpful. I know everyone is raving about the BFG KO2's. Discount just had a memorial day sale on them, so maybe wait 'till the 4th and see if they run another sale?

I recently replaced my BFG AT's with some Nitto Ridge Grapplers and am very happy so far, I'm right around the 10k mile marker. They're just as quiet as the BFG, and have gotten me and my trailer out of a few nasty muddy fields on rainy race days.

^ +1 I’m putting Ridge Grapplers on my Tundra next week.

If you're looking for cheap, check out the treadwright guard dogs. Awesome offroad and acceptable on road.
The toyo AT II is real good. Quiet, wears good, and good performance on and offroad. Not much of a shoulder though

Good stuff...thanks. So much better than steering blind, no pun intended.

I'll second Tire Rack. Hell, they even ship my tires USPS all the way to this side of the world in less than a week.

KO2 looks pretty legit- very similar to the Long Trail T/As. RWL and I'm good to bro!
I see all these reviews saying they got 60k out of their tires. Like I said, I got more than double than that out of the Long Trail's but, they are getting slick around the edges and roughed up on the sides.

I'm thinking about some shocks. This Nissan I drive has always had a washboard, stomach-bouncing ride, but the stiff suspenders are good off-road. I am trying to get another couple years out of this beast.

KO2 are great tires. Also, if you have a discount tire in your area, they sometimes have tires on sale with minimal mileage from where people changed their mind. Found my wife’s KO2s that way

Had the KO2 on my silverado ,worst tire I've ever drive with in the snow . If you're gonna do snow driving ,look for something else ,they don't cut for shit and just float on top .

I’ve had great luck with general grabbers. Ran AT2’s on an F150 and F350, and have a set of X3’s on my current Chevy 1500. Good traction off-road, wear like iron. The only complaint I have is the X3’s are a bit loud on pavement.

My truck has Bridgestone Dueler AT's. Traction is really good on dry pavement and rocky roads, though grip on wet roadways isn't the best. On my next tire change, I'm planning to get the Duratracs to replace these bridgestone tires.

My last several sets have been Cooper (zlt?) then updated to similar but different Discoverer model. I was happy getting 50k miles out of them on a 4x4 Ram. Not positive what I'll get next.

I ended up getting the Falken Wildpeaks...pretty cool. No issues so far, although I have one little traction slip on a paved curve that scared me- that never happened with the old LongTrail T/As. So I guess these aren't quite as good on the pavement.

Just curious if you run the air pressure the truck called for or just maxed out the tire? 135000 is a long ways on tires, good job!

LOVED the Nitto Terra Grappler G2's on my Silverado.

Tire guy down the street has me sold on the Goodyear Wranglers for my little Toyota Pickup. Got 40,000 out of them whilst too lazy to rotate them. Will replace with the same. Probably the last pair of shoes for the old girl.

I'm not fussy about air pressure- just put air in when the tire pressure light comes on. They were pretty thrashed by the end. Maybe the guy was right that they stopped making them because they last too long.
I tend to use stuff till it falls apart- my last Nissan had 234,000 miles on it and I ride a 15 year old bike. laughing

Another vote for BFG AT's. I'm on my second set on my F150. First set lasted over 50k, this set has about 25k and still looks great.
