Will close on a new house on the 30th.
Getting last minute little fixes done on the house we are selling and packing boxes.
Last week just before we are going out of town discover the water main from the street is leaking. Discovered this when I was cutting the grass. It's not a gusher (yet) but very wet in the yard.
Finally got someone out yesterday, been without water this whole time.
Will cost $10,000 to fix. Don't know if that's a good or bad deal but I don't have time to shop around.
Waiting to see what insurance will cover.
Bad timing, whoe is me, this too shall pass.

Last summer there was a leak on just the other side of the line. They had to tear up our driveway a bit, but fixed everything good as new on the city's dime. Got lucky I guess.
