This is looking to be yet another tight one!

Roll Tide!!!

*the only real reason i am rooting for them was the story on the player who lost his g/f in the tornado, way gnarly how he was thrown 30 yards, but unhurt. Hope they win it for her....damn i am turning into a sappy old fuck!

So far at halftime it is another field goal kicking contest.

Bama's defense is amazing everywhere. LSU's defense is amazing in the red zone.

15-0 Bama. Could have been 18-0 but the kicker missed one.

could be 21-0 one blocked and two misses.

I think Brent Moosknuckle's infatuation with Honey Badger is getting really creepy.

Maybe other conferences are watching so they can see how real defenses work.

The Pulp show must have distracted me, I did not catch the other miss and the block. Thank god they actually got a touchdown.

I am with you on the honey badger crap, Brent has been overdoing it all season long and it's just plain dumb.

People down here fully expect that of Jordan Jefferson. And sadly, they've also come to expect Les Miles sticking by him regardless of how badly he sucks despite Jarrett Lee going 8-0 to start the season. Every LSU fan in the state was begging for him to put Lee in, yet no one could say they were surprised that Miles inexplicably wouldn't pull JJ. What a helpless feeling for every LSU fan, and what a "fuck you" from Miles to Lee despite everything he has done for this team.

That was a huge waste of three hours. Zzzzzz USC would have rolled up either of those teams with little effort. It's time for the BCS and the rest of the SEC to realize they are over rated.

LSU resume: 13-1, conference champs, division champs, several wins against top 25 teams, really tough strength of schedule, loss to Alabama

Alabama resume: 12-1, no conference championship, no division championship, very few wins against top 25 teams, weak strength of schedule, loss to LSU

Oklahoma State resume: 13-1, conference champs, several wins against top 25 teams, fairly strong strength of schedule, loss to Iowa State

If I'm an AP voter, I'm still voting LSU as the national champion. Alabama even being in the championship game would be the equivalent of New England losing to Denver this weekend, Denver winning the AFC Championship, and New England skipping over that extra game and going straight to the Super Bowl to play Denver. It just doesn't make sense.

Their main argument about the BCS is that the regular season IS the playoff... Well if that's the case then they need to implement a rule that says to win the national championship you MUST win your division and conference.

The only team that Alabama lost to was LSU, and that was a 3 point game. Thats the only thing that kept Alabama from winning the SEC as well...

LSU lost 21 to 0.

They shouldn't get the nod for anything better than a third place finish.

A better game would have been Oklahoma State and Alabama. Even though I'm down here in Louisiana, Alabama came ready to play. Les Miles will probably resign since he refused to replace Jordan Jefferson. There was talk of firing the coach earlier in the season, especially against Tennessee when he would use Jarrett Lee all the way to the goal line and then pull him and put Jordan Jefferson in. Horrible, Horrible coach!

Brent Mussberger is the all time moron of announcing. "This is an Annihalation, a Distaster!" He needs to be fired along with Les "Moron" Miles.

Alabama did what they had to do. LSU's defense played a good game, considering they had to play almost all of it.

He single handedly put me in the state of mind to put a bullet in the next person who uses honeybadger in any context. It's like watching Dick Clark do New Years now; once really good but time to step away from the mic.

LSU won IN Alabama. Alabama won on a neutral site. They've split wins, so you can't say Alabama is the number one team. They were better last night yes, but not throughout the season which is what AP voters vote on. If you compare their resumes, LSU is still the better team. Like I said previously, Alabama lost the divisional round, so they got to skip over the championship round and go straight to the Super Bowl. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They shouldn't have even been there, and even if they won (which they did) you can't say they're the number one team.

Yeah, I agree with you about the records and bowls, but the LSU coach deserved to lose, not the players. The BCS is totally screwed up.

The Superdome a neutral site? That's like saying the Rose Bowl is a neutral site for USC. No way in hell do you give a AP #1 nod to LSU. 98 total yards and ZERO points in the Championship game. As a college football fan, I hope to God that is the last time we get an inbred bowl....Alabama...National Champions who not only didn't win their conference, but not even their division...BCS sucks!!!!

I would rate Alabama #1, LSU #2, OK State #3.

Even so, you have to wonder how much better LSU would have won, had it not been for the horrible coaching. If you'll remember LSU almost lost several games, some of those due to quaterback changes at the last minute (pulling Lee to put Jefferson in).
