I am winding down my work project up in Reno. Because of health reasons, I may have problems driving back to Phoenix. I'm considering doing an auto transport and just flying home with my wife. I know it's relatively common these days using transports, but I have zero experience with them.

Can someone recommend me a reputable company to use? Also what questions I need ask as well as what problems people have had using them. Any ballpark costs for 770 miles?

I appreciate your comments.

For the limited miles you're showing, you might consider a drive away service.

I paid $800 for an 4x4 F250 transported from Salt Lake City to me. About 1k miles. Cant remember who they were but just giving an idea of price.

Holy crap, in my younger days for $800 I'd buy a ticket to Reno, drive your truck myself and then fly home from PHX. Probably clear several hundred bucks and get a road trip out of it!

But, it would have been a lot younger days, when flights were less expensive. My intial plan was to do the same but by the time I paid for a flight, gas, time off, and the hassle of the drive, it was a no brainer. Hell, the gas alone would have been almost as much by itself!

Ridge does auto transport I think. Haven't seen him post in a while, though......

I think he mostly did higher end collector car stuff, but maybe not.
