(Barret Jackson or mecum) Anyone love them as much as I do, I become almost hypnotized and can watch for hours. The best one is the Vegas motorcycle one every year. Id love to go just to hang out and drink some cold ones, I think it was the Scottsdale one where they have a beer tent kind of deal set up. Has anyone been to one? how much do you need to have in the bank/verified before they consider you a customer?

I watch all the Mecum auctions, love them. I went to the Mecum car auction last year in Las Vegas, and the Motorcycle auction at South Point Casino a few years ago. I have never registered to bid on anything. The next Mecum auction is in your neck of the woods.

I went to the Mecum Auction in Vegas in January and ended up going home with 5 bikes and a lot of artwork. When I read everything they need from my bank to be an approved buyer, I was going to pass. It is a lot of stuff. But then I saw a deal where there was a credit card option where they only needed to verify some small amount like $500 to be approved. I chose that route and was happy I did. At the end of each day, you go up and pay for anything you bought that day. I just used my regular bank account checks to pay each day, even though the account was not verified. No problems.

Always good times in Vegas and a lot of fun at the auction. I was sitting in the back bidding on a Hodaka. It was about at my limit so I signaled that I was out. The auctioneer said, "You're not out until I tell you that you are out." I laughed and raised my bid. The guy up front who I was bidding against asked the auctioneer for permission to be out. Everybody got a good laugh and I got a sweet Hodaka.
