Well army. Of course. Hooah. Of course I was a seaman once too....34 years and 9 months ago. So maybe I should be nuetral as well. Both have given me great opportunity on this floating rock.

I dont know anything about football. But similar to the topic title has been going on in our house. My mom has been in the air force for a long time and my little brother is going into the army. There are constant jokes about the air force or army.Laughing

I've actually worked on the Army's navy at Ft. Eustis.

Army base: soldiers painting rocks green.
Air Force base: wow look at all this nicely striped grass.

Army barracks: drafty. Roofs got a slight leak. Packed in like sardines.
Air Force barracks: the hampton inn and suites.

Speaking of Army vs Navy football…..

A few weeks ago I mentioned to my son how friggin’ cool it would be to attend that game. It would be a heck of a road trip and an awesome father/son weekend.

So I checked ticket prices and was shocked. Cheapest seats in the place were out of my league. I moved on and never really gave it another thought.

Fast forward to Saturday and I just got home from work. I settled into my chair with a beer to watch college football with him and he hands me an envelope. Meanwhile the wife starts recording me.

I open it and there were two tickets for this years game on 12/11/2021. I was blown away. Absolutely floored and speechless. Not going to lie, I cried a bit.

The kid bought them on his own with his money.

Hotel is booked and I’m so excited for it.

Go NAVY!! Beat Army!!!

Made it to our hotel last night around 11pm after a 10 hour drive from Michigan. Stadium is about 15 minutes from here. Getting pretty excited.

Who would the Air Force even play? Is there a university associated with the Marines?

Marines fall under the Department of the Navy, so they go to the Naval Academy.

Incredible game, amazing experience. My son and I loved it. The cherry on top was Navy singing last.
