I was planning to use a 525 lb rated hitch on this Rogue, and attaching a double rail hitch carrier to put 2 bikes on, but just found out Nissan states the max tongue rating for the vehicle is only 110 lbs. I guess it won’t work? Can I even tow a trailer with this vehicle?

Should of posted this in moto-related. If a car can tow a small open air trailer I don't see why a Rogue couldn't do the same.

As for your bike hitch carrier I personally wouldn't try it.

Edit: Max towing capacity for the Rogue is 1100 lbs.

Slightly off topic; do they call them Rogues in Canada, or are they still branded as the X-Trail there like it is over here?

Slightly back on topic; I have a 2004, and I'd be surprised if it could pull 1100 lbs.

We had the first generation of X-Trail in Canada but that was replaced by the Rogue several years back. Two entirely different models but based off the same platform.

As for your 2004 I'm not sure what the specs are but do know that technology has come a long way in the last 14 years so that might have a little something to do with the newer model's towing capacity.
