Hey everyone, a while back me and my girlfriend took a trip to a civil war fort on the day they were doing cannon firing. I loved it and ever since I have joked with her that I'm gonna have something like a 42 pounder or 2 smaller ship cannons outside my future garage to scare the hell out of the neighbors.
Obviously a 42 pounder is just a joke and I'll probably won't have neighbors in this scenario.
Honestly I'm interested in the subject so here are my questions.
Of course it varies state to state but what are the regulations for owning and firing a cannon? License? Registration? Stress and crack checks on the barrel?
And where do you get them? I've found some places that sell non firing recreations but few that sell working models.

I've got a black powder rifle and all the accessories to fire this soon as it gets here. Wonder how high the golf ball will go? I live out in the county so I can shoot on my property. I'll do some video and post em up here.
He uses dyed frozen water bottles as projectiles.
Dyed black so you can see them.
300 yards is what I guess he's shooting them.
