Found a 2004 RSV1000R with 10,000 miles for 6 grand its very clean and has Akrapovic exhaust....I have a 07 Z1000 and want to sell it and buy a liter bike. Thinking this is a good purchase, however, I have never owned a V-Twin and know the ducati's require a bit more maintenance with valve adjustments and all. Thoughts from any of you streetbike guys would be cool.

I sell Aprilia at my shop, the RSV4's are sick, but I'd hate to say it, but we have had or share of problems and angry customers with the older Rotax powerd bikes(the engines are good actually, but they have their share of weird electrical problems that keep techs chasing stuff all over, and running up the repair bill....). If your looking for a good V-Twin sport bike look for a nice RC51 or VTR 1000 firestorm. I'm riding a 92 Ducati 900 SS and love it, the older Ducatis(air cooled, carb'd and 2 valve are actually very reliable and low maitinance.

I have read about the electrical issues regarding the RSV1000. I would love to get my hands on a RC51 but they are hard to come by, every one I have seen has been wrecked in one way or another. I really dont want to get rid of the Z but I want to own a bike with more power. Maybe i wait a year and pick up a Tuono V4 next year.

The only V-twin I've ridden was a Suzuki TL1000s...it was my dads...and it made me a fan of v-twins that's for sure. I'd love to ride/own the RSV4 or a Ducati....

I have sold about 8 Tuono V4's and have been lucky enough to ride one. One of my all time favourite bikes.....The bike I rode had the Competition Werks pipe, the sound was intoxicating. It is also just deadly looking in the flat black and loaded up with nice Rizoma goodies.

A little off topic but I love to brag about my little Italian baby, I picked this up for cheap here locally.

Wicked fun bikes...look into your area and see when the National Powersports auctions are, we by like 300 bikes a year from them. The have them in Cincinatti, Atlanta, Dallas and San Diego. I picked up 3 R1's this year for dirt cheap

I wish they had one closer to STL! There is a local guy that buys a lot of bikes from auction that usually passes on really great deals. He had an '08 that I wanted but I wanted to sell one of my bikes before getting another and it slipped away, but I'm glad it did because I want an '09+.

All I know about Aprilias is that I loved the idea of that 2 stroke 50cc mini sport bike they shipped over for awhile and nearly everything they build is beautiful in its own way.

I've chatted with the folks at this store before. They are definitely enthusiasts with passion for riding. Seem to have fair pricing from what I can tell....

Isnt the RSV4 a 4-cylinder?

On another note, since we're talking wish lists... Ive finally decided on my bike. Went and looked at it on Tuesday. 2013 MV Agusta F3.
