he didnt do shit for the braves. what makes you think he will do anything for the angels? good luck with that! and good riddance. hes an ok 1st baseman, but 1st base isnt that difficult to play. other than that, hes average.

17 hrs in 54 games last year with a .317 batting average and a .615 slugging percentage and 20 bombs and .283 ba this year is not doing shit? He's got the same numbers he had with Texas. You don't know what your talking about or your expectations are to high. The Braves problems are not Mark Teixeira.

I think Tex will do just fine...Kotch is a good kid but adding Tex, even if only a rental, is a good move. Worst case, Morales moves up next year to play 1B.

Teixeira will give any team its money's worth. The guy made a real impact when he showed up here last year but the Braves have been decimated by injuries this year and along with some serious pitching the only other thing that could help us would be a real life faith healer.
What do we get with Kotchman el moto?

i know it doesnt take one man to win games and yes, he did ok his first year with the braves and not doing bad now, but i just dont think he delivered what they expected. otherwise, they wouldnt be trading him so soon...

He's a free agent at the end of 08 as well as a Boras client. The Braves unloaded him because he's worth more today than the 2 draft picks they get when he hops on the Brinks truck...

It's still worth it. We have some decent 1st Baseman prospects if we can't sign him.



With Hunter, Vlad, and Anderson having less than stellar offensive years a hot bat is a welcome addition. The offense has just recently picked up as long as those three put up some decent numbers and the pitching stays outstanding, the A team will be a force to be reckoned with in October.
