Bad song choice. Several chose poor songs IMO.

I am very please that Casey (the blues guy) is going through. My wife picks him as the winner. I guess he lives about 20/30 miles from us. Never heard of him, but he sounds great to me and seems to have some flexibility.

I also like Big Mike.

There should be some very good performances this season. The talent pool seems very solid.

Every year it's a popularity contest.

Some artists are really good, and do well after AI..other vanish.

Anyone remember Fantasia, or Ruben, or Taylor, or Archuletta...no one hears of them anymore.

The' tween' age girls decide who wins that show. They are the demographic that votes and actually gives a shit. Young guys would rather go read their dads Playboy stash than text-vote about some singing show on TV.

The best thing for the blues guy is to get 2nd or 3rd place. He'll do better in the long run and make mucho more money.
From what I understand, the winner is so restricted and already locked into a contract that screws them over.

great point!

I want him to play it like Daughtry did...whatever genre they demand, he just makes it his own.

He gets 2nd or 3rd and goes on to a great career! I'm all over that. If he can write music, he'll do well. His voice and guitar is solid.

I ran sound for Ruben last year....he showed up with his posse' of about 8. Didn't say shit to me, the guy in charge of his show. Not a "Hi, make me sound good", or a "Fuck you, make me sound good". He did his 5 songs and walked away.


My check cleared and I have a memory of Ruben. Good times....oh and I don't remember Ruben's last name...go figure. I do remember Rubin Kincaid....from The Partridge Family...

I like Didi Benami, the blonde waitress from L.A. Also like Crystal Bowersox. She's got serious talent.

Tim Tebow's girl is damn good as well. Smokin hot too.
