Yeah, no snow to speak of until a couple of days ago and it snowed some more last night. After Christmas we'll likely get a chinook or two and melt everything off again. This is from my roof deck.

Have to love living in southern Alberta. Well, except the 85 mph winds that were hammering Nanton. Fuck me, I was sure I was going to have a window laying on the floor of Casa de scooter, my place isn’t very sheltered. On the upside, the snow disappeared fast.

Raining. Had 3 feet of snow last week. Went skiing. All gone now.

I’ll be in Texas all of February. So I hope it snows more up here until then.

The winds can get crazy! I was on a bus ski trip a few years back. We were near the Crowsnest Pass and pulled up to an open area of the highway. The cops were out in force directing buses and semis to park diagonally on the highway to avoid being blown over. There were a number of blown over trailer vans and at least one bus in the ditch and fields along the highway. Our driver had everyone move as close as they could to one side of the bus. The fucker wouldn't even let me out for a smoke. Probably a good thing as I likely would have gotten a pretty good Waterton blister trying to light my Bic or wacked in the head by a flying rabbit. Guessing close to 100 mph winds that held us there for 40 minutes or so.

Yep, dove coming to visit our bird feeder this morning.
I enjoy being outdoors. Wildlife/outdoors photography is becoming a hobby of mine.

Woke up to a few inches on the ground. My son and I went for a walk in the woods behind the house. It was peaceful.

Woke up to this today. I’m excited though. I love snow and terrible roads. So much fun to drive on. Just slapped some new wheels and winter tires on the subie for the winter. Things a tank.
