And put David Carr (Fresno State!!!) in there. Smith can't even throw accurate passes. The guy is just plain terrible.

Carr used to be good...in college. Hasn't shown much as a player in the NFL. 49'ers won't get far without a better QB than those 2.

Seriously, I don't know what is up with the Niner's coaching staff. This guy has been a bust his whole career and they give him another shot this year - WTF. He sucks and has never shown even a hint of potential. The Niner's version of Jamarcus Russell - collects the big money, but does nothing to actually earn it.

Exactly. I suspect it has something to do with the big bucks they're paying him. They feel the need to "justify" spending that kind of dough so they keep guys like that in the starting lineup in the hopes that they perform. Time to give up on Smith.

At least you could kinda excuse Carr's poor NFL performance on his shitty line that he was stuck with in Texas. I'm not sure it was entirely their fault for him getting sacked so much but at least Carr can throw a fuckin pass accurately. He needs a chance.

You never know for sure with football. It's a team sport. Anything could happen. The Niners have the benefit of being expected to lose. The Saints, on the other hand, have a ton of pressure to win . . . commandingly.

This will be Singletarys last season in SF. They are in total disarray after the Seattle thrashing. Saints will kill them. I am pumped for the hawks at the donks, our old AFC rival.
