Remembering the great SRV (Oct 3rd 1954- August 27 1990).
What a Legend......
Stevie Ray Vaughan is who got me into the Blues and I haven't looked back.

Music with SOUL baby....😎

Yep, when he was doing bars around town, he'd do a set of Jimi, then a set of his.
Freaking incredible.

Saw him live at UCONN Springfest in 1988. Best I've ever seen live. He played "Couldn't stand the weather" for an encore just as the wind whipped up, thunderclouds let loose and it began to rain. I will never forget that day, it was truly amazing. I stayed sober for the show so I could get the full grasp.

I remember hearing the news when I was living in Taiwan. 32 years ago, feels like yesterday and yet, feels like a long time ago.🤷‍♀️

One of about three artists that I would use one of my “three wishes” to see. Never got to see him.

Very sad that he conquered addiction and was back on track only for this to happen.

Sorry you missed him.
It seems weird now how fortunate we were.

Yep Hendrix was one he looked up to.

And while on this topic I was watching Jay Leno garage and Kenny Wayne Shepherd came on to guess what car this is.

They blindfolded him in 3 different cars and he guessed them all!!
He really knows his classic vehicles and he owns some real gems--cool guy.

He said Stevie Ray inspired him and when he met and saw him play he knew that's what he wanted to do and got his first guitar 6 mo later. Cool

Yep, So sad that had to happen I was watching a documentary and he was on the phone with his fiance they were madly in love and a seat opened up on the helicopter and he told her "Baby I could come home (as they had just moved into a new place) and see you sooner" and he got in the ill fated chopper that flew into thick fog and plowed right into a man made ski hill in Wisconsin I believe. Sad
