The first 2 stages have been fun to watch. Lampaert being the surprise winner of the wet Time Trial in Copenhagen was good to see. And then him leading out the sprint for his teammate Jakobsen while wearing the yellow jersey…that was special.

Stuck watching the highlights show since I don't have peacock. Kind of like MX on MAV tv.

Great ride by the yellow jersey.
Coming back from a crash, getting dropped, pulling back to the group, then leading out his sprinter to the victory.

I signed up for Peacock a few months ago when we cut the cable tv chord. There are a lot of sports broadcasts on Peacock.

Those griping about commercials in moto, have obviously never watched the TDF.
Though honestly, the sprint stages in the early days are pretty boring up until the last few KM's.

Great, bike throw, sprint finish !!!
Wout lost it by a YCH.

I like Sagan.
But he has nothing to bitch about.
Wout left him plenty of room.

It’s surprising to see van Aert nipped on a sprint finish. Age is catching up to Sagan. He doesn’t have the blistering sprint speed of his younger years. I think he’ll still find a way to win a stage or 2.

I’ve been watching the non-USA coverage on peacock and it has hardly any commercials. I know I’m missing out on Phil, but I only started watching last year on peacock and switched over because the US coverage was an insane amount of commercials.

Commercials on USA network have no relation to commercial on a streaming service I pay extra for. MavTv. That’s the gripe.

Also, I do not remember a rest day so early in the TDF before.

I also miss SCOTTIE, in TDF threads and F1 threads.

What about cavendish? I can't believe nobody picked him up. He's only got one or two more wins to break the record I believe. Like Sagan I think he still had a couple wins left in him.

The first real climbing stage (with a summit finish) is Stage 7 on Friday. Its got a gravel section with a 24% ramp.

Yea, that’s a badge of shame he’ll wear until the next guy does the same. Great stage today. I love the Tour.

The ones that get me are the victory salutes done too early that cause a sure winner to finish 2nd across the line.

At least he owned it. And his team should have kept him informed. Wout created chaos, and Phillipsen was collateral damage.

Created chaos indeed.
He attacked when the teams were unable to get their leadout guys together for their sprinters.
Thus leaving all of the GC guys at the front.
They weren't going to stop him.
Then his team shut the front of the field down.

I laughed my ass off at his snarky post race comment about, " not wanting to take any risks"
Then winking.
Referring to yesterday's finish with Sagan.

One of the better early flat tour stages in a long time.

Been watching him since his cyclocross days.
He's a beast.

I was just in Murfreesboro last week for a regional soccer tournament for my daughter. Of course I brought my mountain bike. Being a flatlander from North Texas I was hoping for a little more elevation, is it hillier over by Knoxville?

I live about an hour west of the knox area.
The so knox urban wilderness trail system is a huge area of hand built singletrack of varying skill ranges.
My long time favorites are, the north boundary/black oak ridge area just west of oak ridge.
A 70/30 mix of gravel and singletrack
None of it flat.
Norris watershed north of Knoxville, 50/50 gravel and singletrack, again all climbing and descending.

Haw ridge, and loyston are two places with mostly rolling singletrack with haw having some serious climbing.

The Knoxville area is a mt bike mecca that few outsiders are aware of.

Check out the Chattanooga area on that website.
Raccoon mt will hand you all of the climbing and descending you want.

Awesome trails.

Crazy cobble stage today. Shook up the field a bit. Really cool to watch, but I can understand the racers’ concerns. Although I don’t believe the GC contenders suffered any tour-changing mechanical failures. And the only serious crash resulted from a hay bale! RC probably had flashbacks to Glen Helen.
