George Russell just said on the broadcast that he thinks Max will probably win the race and that Mercedes will nost likely be off the podium.

Hamilton has pretty much comfirmed this year is a wash. Said they were very optimistic coming into this round that their car would be closer in pace and be around .5 seconds off, but being 1.8 seconds off is a real kick in the ass. The other 2 teams are just in a different league.

Said that he's not going to miss the car at the end of the year, and that all he can do, is do the best he can with what they have and focus on next year's design.

i read a thing yesterday saying the last driver to win two consecutive races at Spa was Kimi.

i've got Max winning from the back of the grid becoming the second driver to do it.
Called it, Max is incredible this year. 14 to 1. Wow

LOL what an ass kicking by RB. Yet again, Ferrari with head scratching indecision(not that it would have mattered). IMO the most picturesque track

That first lap was intense. Hamilton out instantly. He was so pissed he walked all the way back to the pits. At least he copped to it being his fault. Was kind of fun watching Max Blaze through the pack. I will never get tired of watching those cars blast up the hill through EU Rouge full speed. What a rush.

He's been put on the sidelines for a bit.

Don't expect a reply for a week or two.

I think Ferrari was caught off guard by how dominant Red Bull was, but also Mercedes leap with Russell. Also, Alonso’ comment on Hamilton was hilarious

Hamilton is being a baby and doesn't want to talk to Alonso after the comment he made.

The decision is final. Oscar Piastri will drive for McLaren next year. Alpine will not appeal the decision.

Great old school race course.
Not a sharp angled corner anywhere.

Still wish they'd return to Watkins Glen instead of a parking lot in Nevada.

"Those pigeons are back at the apex of turn seven"
🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Not something you hear every day.

Memories of Earnhardt at Daytona, and Stoner at Phillip Island.

Unfortunately don’t have tickets this year, but can hear the track from my house. Definitely some good vibes around here for the races. Going to be an awesome weekend with the Vialle/Geerts and Tomac/Sexton battles together with Zandvoort.

A much, much, better race than I though we'd see, as far as on track action.
Cool to see a DRS zone going into a banked turn.

And the last restart !!!

It just feels like Ferrari and Mercedes were guessing decision making today while Red Bull just serves the ball and waits for a return. Hamilton cried per usual, this time he had a reason to be pissed.

Just watched the race, wow what a shit show for Ferrari & Sainz. The yellow flag pass, leaving the gun out to get run over, not having the left rear tire ready, somebody or some people may end up losing jobs. Every race they have some bone headed shit happen.

Hamilton was a sitting duck not pitting for softs under the full safety car. From the sounds of it Mercedes weren't going to pit either driver but Russel was insistent on coming in. Would love to be a fly on the wall when he and Toto have a chat.

There seems to be some controversy with claims Tsunoda left the pits with a broken car then parked it on the track to force a caution. This being an accused strategy to assist Verstappen while Hamilton was leading the race.

I have been a Ferrari fan from when I started following F1 in the 1980s but may have to find a new team Blush every week it something different but also the same same thing, at least now Mattia Binotto finally said their is a problem that needs to be fixed, not sure if he understands that he is a big part of that problem. Says the pit call came too late and that's why they were a tire short, the other three tires were there no problem. Can you imagine what Wolf or Horner or even Steiner would a have lost their minds but they would have fixed the problem too

Helmut Marko confirmed that an agreement has been reached for Colton Herta to join Alpha Tauri in 2023, but the FIA must first approve his superlicence.

The issue is that he only has 32 of the required 40 points needed to obtain a superlicence to compete in F1. The FIA is studying his situation and they might make an exception. A decision could be made this week.

Helmut Marko: “Astonishingly enough, all of the parties and teams involved, we found an agreement. First we have to get a definite answer (from the FIA) and I think it should be by Monza. If the deal works then it happens in Monza, also for Pierre, of course."

Herta has a clause in his Indycar contract with Andretti Autosport that allows him to leave if he receives a Formula 1 offer.
