We used to bungey out of the parasail when I was a kid and worked there. We would double the line to 1200'. We would go up tandem and you would pull your own release clip and then release the other one into water as they slowed and "dipped" you for the platform boat to pick you up. We had a pull boat and a big catamoran platform to launch our guests from with motor in center so it was perfect for landing the chute with bungey trailing. Except for the fines for no permits. Good times.

Went parasailing in Cancun on my first honeymoon.

My first wife weighed 90lbs soaking wet and when they came around to the beach to bring her in the wind kept kicking up and they couldn't get her down.

Took 5 passes and they finally had to just stall the chute and dump her in the water.....it was fucking hilarious.
Of course she didn't appreciate the joke.

BTW Dougie, they stopped letting people climb El Castillo. (dammit) A guy told me someone from Germany fell off about 4 years ago and died. So, no more el climbo de pyramido. Chichen Itza is a horrible tourist trap now.

Im glad I got to climb it and go into the middle chamber about 10 years ago.
