I've been racing micro sprints on dirt ovals for the past few years and now I'm just looking to get back into riding after deciding to take a year or 2 off to build a new race car. I'm a racing fanatic so I'm looking to keep some type of speed and competition going by getting into hare scrambles. I'm not really looking for something brand new. I'm 130lbs and about 5'5. Couple bikes that have crossed my mind are the yz125 or a crf250x. Suggestions?

Thanks

Those would probably be okay. A 125 at HS is going to need a top end service more often. The 250x don't seem to have gotten much development in the last few years, but would work. A Ktm 200 or 250 2 stroke would also be good and popular options.

I've been racing a KTM 200 actually a 02 125 sx with 03 200exc engine and at 190lb A level in stock form it does a great job. Last bike was a 07 250xcf-w with a 315 big bore at mid season, it was really nice too but had to sale it when I crashed really hard practicing at track. Hard choice butt for me the ease of working on the 200 is the tie breaker and the 200is so much fun when you get into a zone.
