1st bike? a 3 year old four stoke? No deal. Buy a two stroke. Learn on that keep your costs down then once you decide if you like it or not invest from that point.

I say go for it...You rarely see any of those on the track and they look good...probably the engine wouldnt be as strong as an 08rmz250 but its defenately lighter and with a little carb tuning and some mods it will preform just as good...if not, BETTER... i use to have one...Its a really great transition bike from a 2stroke to a four stroke...Now i have a 450 and they have similar characteristics the 250 has got lots of potential.

2004 and 2005 rmz250s are ticking time bombs, ACmeyers, mxsentence, and mark all hit the nail on the head STAY AWAY FROM THOSE BIKES! Go with a two stroke or if you really want a suzuki 4 banger, get an 07 or 08 rmz250, those are great bikes (strong motor and handles like a dream).

I never had any problems with my 2004 rmz 450. Make sure to check the valves and the coolant and you should have no problems. A boyesen water pump and a higher pressure radiator cap are almost necessary, especially if you would be riding in sandy conditions. I know a lot of other people had problems, but that is probably the best four stroke I have ever owned. Handled amazing.

That's why the title of the thread is rmz250 and not 450. The suzuki 450s are really nice and handle really well like you said, but as far as the 2004 and 2005 rmz250 are concerned they had terrible motors and cannot be cured with bigger radiators or any other modifications, the 2006 was a little better but not by much. The redesigned 2007 was a huge improvement and is a fast and reliable bike.

No one would even get a sniff on that bike if it was selling for $4,200 here. Lot of money for that bike...but not sure how supply and demand is on jap bikes in Poland.

I'm sure you didnt have any problem with your 2004 rmz 450.
There is no such bike, first rmz 450 was a 2005 model.
