in your local race community, how would you rate your ability in your race class, using the top pro's as an example.
I would be dungey.im not the fastest (mtb racing) ,but won championships.

I'd be the guy in last of timed qualifying and not even get a chance to race a heat race....if I was lucky and trained really hard.

That's the funny thing about local racing, one weekend you think you are RC, then next weekend somebody fast shows up out of nowhere and you're not even close!

This is actually a really cool thread idea! Woohoo Nice job, OP.

I would definatly be a Brayton or a Short.........usually 5 - 8 place, but I occasionally get on or near the podium. And I am not a really "stand out" type rider when it comes to style. I just ride my own race.

ive always thought my riding style was like Tyla Rattray, im strong amd tend to just bulldog the bike where i want it to go without a lot of flare.

I would be hepler. Injured often and most of them serious. I quit riding dirt but ride sportbikes now. Still one of the biggest fans of the sport though.

While I generally suck, I am a great mud racer.... Sadly, there are very few mudders at the pro level now days so I have no idea what top pros r good mud riders...

I'm like Alessi, I get good starts but slowly move my way backwards as the race progresses.

I would say I'm like a Laracco, no offense to the guy haha.

I mean that because I do way better with endurance than style. I may not be blazing fast, or throw some sick scrubs, but I'll be moving up through the pack slow and steady. I'm usually racing against the checkers to pass towards the front as far as I can.

RJ on one of his very bad and sloppy days, and about 6-7 inches shorter.

Kind of off topic, but I always liked Rich Taylor as a rider.

Probably Windham. I kind of ride my own race, do well in the mud, pretty consistent, try to keep it clean but I'm not above putting a guy over the berm if need be. I also don't take unnecessary risks except on the occasion I'm feeling froggy. But I'm older(wiser) now though. 10 years ago I was like Barcia. Super aggressive and WFO jumping everything in sight.

Adam Enticknap. I can appreciate a good Subway sandwich and often times it's the highlight of the race weekend. Tongue

and boom you have me out there

I always tried to imitate anything mc did when i was younger and been threw a millian training schools and can give thanks to colleen millsaps for being a fluid rider and great positioning. Jlaw was a norm at my pit n absolutly loved watching him ride. Bar none him or #7 have the sickest style on a bike!

Reality, most like Jessy Nelson
similar bike setup; very stiff suspension, neutral bars and levers and a smooth power delivery.
riding; I tend to carry momentum like Nelson.

I wish I could claim Barcia.
