starting line straight to the first turn? Really lame IMHO...l mean fans that pay money want to see some speed and WFO shit at the start of the races. Hell they should just start single file like on a restart...big FAIL on somebody's part.

It was my idea. I just thought it up and did it. Shook things up, right?

Personally, I want to see an 80 yard whoop section made of alligators.

If you don't think a lot of folks were bummed about the small start you'd be "sorely mistaken".

Someone who wanted to shake things up with first-turn crashes. Mission accomplished.

That was the worst start straight/first turn of the season. I guess they were looking for crash reel highlights for next years advertising

Every rider has a obstacle or track conditions that they do not like. Deal with it
Maybe we could have a 100 yd, drag qualifying and then line everybody up single file?
I liked it. Made things interesting

Yeah, it didn't work the greatest, and some riders (Roczen in particular) really got hosed by it. But, I sure don't want to see all of the tracks basically the same as far as starts are concerned.

Yea, I think your right on, tougher than a long straight with a long easy corner, SX ain't supposed to be easy. And if you want the same track each week, try AX.

How about that Cody Gilmore in the main again!!!

Roczen got hosed by pulling off in his heat, said so himself even on the start line of the LCQ

It was strategically planned by Honda. They thought it could throw a monkey wrench into KTM's world domination. It worked.

It certainly put an emphasis on qualifying/gate pick.... From that aspect I think it was a perfect start. On a long start straight gate pick becomes somewhat irrelevant.

I'm sure if RV had crashed on the start it would've been the best idea ever huh?

Hopefully next season they'll have them line up backwards on the gate. This should add to the grand spectacle that is SX.

I loved it personally. Anything that's different from the same old, same old is good in my book and if it adds some excitement then even better. And it sure did make things interesting Saturday night.

Wow... what a bunch of whiny bitches everyone here is. I personally thought the start was great because it was different. I guess it's a good thing none of you armchair pros actually had to race on that short little start stretch. We'd hate to see those over-modified bikes you ride be unable to go WFO for the holeshot with you manning the controls.

I wasn't a big fan of the short start myself. Sure it changed it up a little, but I like to see change in big whoops, crazy obstacles, diff lanes etc.. The start just determines the outcome of the race way to much, so it needs to be as even as possible for more riders to have a chance to get out front
