I didn't see many empty seats. I think the dome holds about 70k. Need to have an East Coast A2.
The Shop
excellent party, I'd say!
68,358.5.
We had one live birth.
That place was over flowing.
Industrial seating was packed like a fresh can of whoop-ass.
Think I seen SORBY take out somebody in a vicious bout of musical chairs.
Good times.
are you serious?
lets see what companies are based here:
yam, kaw, suz, hon, ktm, answr, fox, thor, oakley, spy, dragon, bell, shoei, toyota, musclemilk, monster, 661, maxima, msr, mxa, cyclenews, alpinestars, cti, ONE, san manuel, canidae..... and those are just off top of my head.
Pit Row
Damon was years ahead of his time.....guess its time for his come back!
I have been waiting for Baltimore to get a SX with so many major metropolises withing a couple hours drive.
Attendance was nearly 70K on the AMA results sheet that I saw. (It's sitting at home on my desk there, and don't have it handy.)
Somebody better tell the folks back in Japan.
i mean really, cali is huge for mx, but so is the south east. maybe not as big, but its growing very fast. while cali is throwing out huge fines for just riding on your own property, racers from NC to FL are having no trouble buying land and building their own training facilities, without getting crap from local gov't (yet...im sure it will all change with time)
honestly, theres more then enough races in cali, another on the east coast, or southeast would be great.
seriously north county /socal in general are on another planet in bikes sold,
number of lage dealerships, etc etc.
its a few Socal counties, and the rest of the US.
if you want to look at market share and where bikes and equipment are sold
,its not surprising the number of races in that area.
i'm not against more midwest , soyuth east or or east coast rounds..!!!
just sayin however popular you may think MX is in other places,,
folks dont buy MX bikes like they do in those few Socal counties,,anywhere else in the world.
as far as SX race fans,, and wether tjhey own a bike ,, thats another story..
monster truck events do well in the midwest and south..
even though not may people own them
*shrugs*
Atlanta had more hot chicks than A-1.
There, I said it.
please post pics to proof that statement!
i know there is some tradition involved but to have 3 rounds at the same track is ridiculous.
this sport has always had issues with marketing its product if you ask me and to race basically the same venues over and over dont help the cause.
Post a reply to: what was Atlanta attendance?
