Did some web searching, not finding anything new. Curious to hear updated opinions. More so for the new YZ450 having turning issues for some (or any brand 450). I'm debating going to the 110 (mx32). Seems this would do justice for the YZ on MX tracks, especially tighter ruttier inter/hard packed dirt. Though guessing the 120 would be better for tracks like Zaca??? Anyone try both sizes? What were your thoughts? Pros/cons...

I always run 120s on hardpack and intermediate tracks. I find that it hooks up better/ easier to get the power down. 110s in sand seem to work better though

FWIW, the guys down here are running 120s as much as possible, and the Pirelli guys using the 90/120 also... rounder profile to help turning.

Funnily enough too, my bridgestone 120 404 rear is as wide and not a split dick more than my Pirelli MX32 110 Rear on my spare wheel...

I don't think it really matters.... the front tire is more important for turning. On a 450 I would go with a 120 rear to get as much power as possible to the ground out of the corner. But I ride a 250 4t and I don't really feel a significant difference between a 100 and a 110.

The 110 & 120 MX32 is a little narrower than the old MX31 for whatever reason. I run a 120 on my CRF250R most of the time, and yes I have the wider rim.

I go 110/90 in the rear, and honestly usually prefer a 90/90 up front, but they do tend to chunk knobs a bit. This is on a 250f, feels very very planted, but once you learn to trust it you can throw it in anywhere. As far as it not turning in quick enough; you'd be better off taking some sag out, raising the forks up in the triple clamps, or if you still cant get it changing your steering stem offset

Walk through the pits at an AMA Nat or SX privateer/factory and you will see they almost all run 110 on the 450's. Of course no one runs a 120 on a 250. Me and a friend had a bet last year. I checked at least 20 bikes at A1, San Diego, and Glen Helen. I've also read that. You guys run what you want but I pretty much yank top 3 starts with my 110 shod 490 whenever I feel like it and suck even more than I usually do in the ruts on a 120. Of course you can't compare diff brands, I just mounted a new Starcross for a friends 250F and the 100 is much skinnier than the Dunlop. I think a 110 Starcross on a 250F would work better.

The Starcross looks and feels decent (whatever that means) I'm curious to see how they work after listening to Keefer.

On a side note I've been experimenting with lower tire pressures lately and 10 lbs is amazing on a 110-90x19 Dunlop MX32........controlled drift.

As for the weird steering on the 16 YZ450 I hear a lot of guys are going back to the 14-15 offset. Claiming the 25mm is too much. My findings with my 2014 YZ450 is that this bike also like less sag, I find the bike works best around 95-98mm of sag. As for tires I've been happy with 120 rear.

On my 14yz450 I was fighting it in corners. Once I stuck a 110 on the rear, I felt at home. Whole different animal..

I also run 20mm clamps on my 14 250f, definitely helps stabilize it

Did you play with the offset too? Just curious.......I have a new YZ450, I think I'm gonna try out the 110 rear thing.

110 in sticky rutty stuff (all outdoor nationals)

120 on tracks with hard bases where you will be spinning the wheel a lot more

Personal preference

Currently have a 120 on my 450 but will be switching to a 110 on the next rear tire I buy. I just want my 450 to handle like a 125 lol

I prefer the 110 on the 450.
I found you wear the outside knobs more, with a 120 they hardly wear.

I like 110's on both my 450 and 250 smoker
- just more predictable for me especially in ruts
- I like a little more wheelspin when I want

Just picked up a new Bridgestone battle cross x-30 seems nice and a killer deal from rm/atv
