I’m not here to judge you though man, more power to you and all the other rainbow warriors like you out there!

Look man, i can appreciate the fact you want to jump in and defend your boyfriend’s honor. Heck if i thought someone was being disrespectful to my wife, I’d probably do the same. Hopefully you come to realize I’m not the enemy. If you two decide you’re ready to take the next step and want to tie the knot, i’d be the first to congratulate you guys. So if you were hoping your little knight in shining armour routine would get you some extra D tonight, go right ahead. Just know I’m one of the good guys.

People can call me unpatriotic if they want but I for one am with you. I’m sure we’re in the minority but I’d get more enjoyment out of witnessing Tomac win an epic head to head, back and forth battle than i would a US victory. That said, obviously the optimal scenario would be for both to occur or better yet, as long as we’re fantasizing for Tomac to come from the back of the pack to pass JH on the final lap of final moto to give the US a 1pt victory over the Dutch; )

Im back and forth with this battle, I'm thinking Herlings has the edge now but ask me tomorrow and it might change. You know that ET3 is gonna go full retar...out of his mind and he's proven to tip over or worse in these situations, so with his remount time averaging 22 minutes I say advantage JH.

I just thought of something that I was reminded of with the Webb signing. People say how stacked the 450 gps are because they have more past champions in the class. Well Cooper Webb is a 3x past champion as well and it didnt really translate either into him being a threat to Tomac, Roczen, Musquin, Barcia... The fact is that Eli, Roczen, Musquin and Herlings, Cairolli are on a different level. And even within that Eli and Herlings are on yet another level. I personally watched Tomac put 14 seconds on Musquin at southwick in 2.5 laps, that is next level next level speed.

I know eli is riding for the team but it wouldnt be unreasonable for him to try to run with herlings, he did it at iron man and there there was a championship on the line

If I was betting, I'd put my money on Herlings. Anyone remember the last time Tomac got a holeshot?? Yeah, me neither. Red Bud was also Tomac's worst National this year by far (36-9).

Why is it always the championship on the line argument? Anyone see Herlings backing off to secure the championship? The dude comes to do 1 thing when he lines up, that's winning. That being said, can't wait for next weekend to see these two great riders go head to head!

There needs to be a moratorium on Herlings/Tomac threads on a go forward basis...

If I am Decoster, I give Tomac the bad gate pick and give Plessinger or Barcia the good gate pick. Tomac will be much better getting through the pack than the other 2. This may in turn eliminate the battle with Herlings but be better overall for the team. Question is: Can Tomac put ego aside and not throw a fit over the bad gate pick? Fact is, Tomac doesn't start well regardless of gate pick.

I can’t wait for the motos. Wish it would be dry, but whatever. I have been watching MXGP for the past few years, and I honestly think Herlings is the fastest man on the planet right now. One race really won’t determine it either way, as either one could have an off day, but if I had to bet, Herlings wins this battle pulling away.

Agreed. I think Herlings will dominate in ho-hum fashion, same as any other Sunday.

I think Herlings is much more excited to race Tomac than Tomac is to race Herlings. Jeffrey seems like he wants to go out and prove he is the fastest guy out there. He said in a recent interview that he really wants to race Tomac because he is the top guy over here. I don't think Herlings is afraid of anyone and wants to see/prove that he is the guy right now. He kind of pushed Roczen to the side and said he is fast just not at the top after his injuries. He wants a Tomac scalp.

I am hoping for a USA overall and just some good racing, may the best man/team win. I can't wait!!! I hope they are both in beast mode come Sunday.

Listening to Steve now. He is so obvious about pushing his agenda. His pre-reasons that it doesn't matter Tomac will get smoked an the Nations bugs me. It sounds like he is starving to be bro's with Tomac, easy Steve. Tomac is rad, he is the man in the USA. Truth is Herlings is a better, more rounded racer. Herlings sounds better in interviews, his mind is stronger. Try watching and listing, Herings came here to a track that was all USA, he smoked everyone. #784

I agree some of this is pretty comical imagine if we only raced Outdoors all year long here in America not that I want to give the Europeans the nod but they should be better that's all they do.

The thing that worries me about herlings is the way he came over last year race One race here and kicked everyone's ass I love that attitude totally reminds me of Villopoto don't give a s*** about anyone but yourself and that's how it should be. A lot of people like to say eli was just trying to save the championship and not crash but I think when you're a motocross racer at that top-level sometimes pride gets in the way and sometimes I think it should you should want to kick the other guy's ass I don't care who it is the one thing though is herlings has improved a ton over last year he's even more confident more solid and writing better than ever in the way he destroys Tony even though Tony's at the end of his career. I really hope Tomac does beat him but honestly who knows. Eli needs to have a performance like he did last time he raced this race on the Honda where he just put on a charge and almost beat everyone after crashing that first corner he's going to have to have a day like that to beat herlings I believe. I don't think herlings is going to give two s**** about how his team does his soul mission is to come here and Destroy Eli and I think Eli needs to have the same attitude

Yeah i have the same feeling reading all the interviews. You can feel Herlings really wanna show the world he is the best by beating Tomac. Tomac didn’t say anything like that, he is more talking about the Team (which is good too) but i hope he is hearing Jeffrey’s interviews and he is fired up !

Also, we know Tomac is not very expressive and has a reserved personality so that would explain is not calling Herlings out.
