anybody knows if de tld/ktm uses flo plastic kits or if it is oem orange? to me it looks different than the oem but I´m not sure if it is flo.. and i´m afraid to buy a flo kit and that will be too bright because I've never seen one in person.

It's not flo, I think it's OEM orange plastic but the orange on the graphics is darker.

They used to be painted when that body style first came out and there was no plastic to be had other than stock colors. The paint wouldn't really last long, so I can't see them having stuck with it. As for the color, I don't know if it's OEM or some other color specifically.

I know in the past they would prep the plastic with Scotchbrite and paint it a spec color.

I'm pretty sure the plastics are normal Ktm colors. Like Joe said, its the graphics that are a flowish orange. Same as you can buy on the showroom. Factory edition version.

As mentioned, they were painting every piece before they started making the new color, as I understood it. They were changing plastics every time they rode the bikes. I figured that the plastics were Flo Orange, but I can find out for sure. I'll make a call.... The TLD bikes/ team are always looking good, IMO

Here's another thread about painting the plastics
http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Race-Shop,42/KTM-2016-radiator-covers-shr…

EDIT- I talked to Rob (N-Style) who makes the graphics and he said that he thinks the plastics are OEM as well. They were painting the radiator grills and maybe the shrouds (?) before they started making them in Orange.
The reason the graphics are so bright, is because N-Style screen prints all the team graphics. It's not possible to print that color with digital printers, which most graphic companies are doing. Same goes with the Flo Green and other vibrant colors.
The problem with screen printing is that it's time consuming and expensive to have done, unless you're doing big runs.... Digital has limitations.

I'm 100% sure the plastic is OEM because I've seen it in person. The pic you posted makes it look more flourocent than it really is.

Last December when I picked up mine I emailed a few companies looking for Flo colored plastics and they didn't have them. I was told by NStyle that the KTM team runs a oem plastic now. Apparently KTM changed the color from 2015 to 2016+ to make the orange more vibrant

The plastic is made by KTM but the color is slightly brighter than the plastic that comes on their bikes stock. It is also completely orange... no white or black.
