2Tall racing is maybe an answer but you're not that tall...

Fastway pegs, slightly higher seat... will make transitions better but don't go too high on the seat or you'll notice it in corners...

Keep your bars as normal as you can, I found tall bars came back further and affected the bike's handling more than most things... made corners worse and super monkey bars push you back off jumps.

Are you average limb length? That makes a difference too. I'm almost 6'7" but long limbed. Makes it more so an issue. Some dudes have short arms which makes being tall better.

I disagree about the tall seat, most of them are only an inch taller in the middle, the front is essentially the same height, and with our 200lb+ asses on them we are probably compressing the foam and sitting lower than a typical 150lb rider.

Lower footpegs are a big help. Taller bars fit me well, makes it more comfortable to stand in the attack position. Standard bar height makes it so I'm so leaned over it's very uncomfortable to tilt my head up enough to see. On my bike I can offset the bars forward to make up for the taller bars being further back, I think he may be out of luck on the ktm unless he gets an aftermarket top clamp.

There are often different height tall seats though.... on both my KTMs I ended up settling on the tall one and not the one that was super tall and flat, felt like I was balancing on the bike too much for moto. Was good for enduro or standing trails though.

Im 6'3" 220lbs A level harescramble racer, I'm on a 17 350sfx now, plan on riding it in stock trim. Over the last 10 years I have tried all the adjustments for a bigger rider. last bike I left it all stock, got comfortable with the way the controls and position felt, sure did make me stand up more to position myself over the bars.

6mm lower pegs is first thing you should get. They lowered them 4mm going into 2016 chassi, but you can drop them 6mm more without them hitting the ground to much. With the right pegs, you can also shave of another 2mm in height from top side giving you 8mm. That gives night and day difference.

Taller seat needs to come with a taller straighter bar, or you will slam your knee against the bar when you lean over in corners. I dont like that combo at all.

Benny Bloss runs everything at stock. But i would still recommend the lower pegs since it gives you something to grip with the knees around which you lack with stock height pegs.

I'm 6'2" on a '16 350SXF. Going back to racing as a tall teenager I have always used bar risers. With Hondas we always had to machine something, but KTM power parts has a variety of heights available that keep the OEM look. I always liked around 50mm, which is roughly a 1/2 inch rise from stock. That way I can keep the handlebar bend I always liked.

I’m 6’3, I ride a 19 450. I have the fastaway lowered pegs, and MC Mika bars, that is it. All other options change the turning characteristics too much for me. This bike is tall already. Try 1 thing at a time, and from my experience, pegs should be first. Good luck sir.

Yes obviously 50mm is over 2 inches. If you pay attention, the measurement given on the part is taken from the top of the handlebar to the base of the radius the handlebar sits in. So the 50mm clamp is ROUGHLY a 1/2inch raise over the stock part which is 36mm. If you'd click the link and look how the parts are listed that would all be kinda obvious.

I would just do the OEM optional seat that is 20mm higher and call it a day.

Maybe the bars as well.

Just leave it stock.

I'm 6'5" and I constantly had people telling me I needed to buy a tall seat or tall bars or lower foot pegs. Last year I had the pleasure of meeting Benny Bloss (we're exactly the same height). I spoke to him about his bike setup and what he does to accommodate his height. Guess what... he does nothing.

Leave it alone!

You'll just have to bend more at the waste (pushing your butt back towards the rear fender more) and at the knee to get in the proper attack position (almost so that your back is parallel to the ground).

This means you're core and legs/butt will need to be stronger to sustain the proper riding position...

So as I see it...the answer is to get in better shape. But if you don't have the time/ability/desire to get in better shape...then take some of the short-cuts mentioned above...starting with lowering the pegs (higher seats, bar risers, etc. all negatively affect the handling of the bike...so should be a last resort).

Lower the footpegs 6mm, it has absolutely no negative effect when you are that tall. Higher bars and seat brings a lot of issues.

Hey I’m interested in what your saying but I’m not sure I follow. Can you explain in more detail how your dropping the pegs. Do you first start off with 16 pegs? Thanks

8mm, you realize that's 1/3 of an inch? Save your money and time.
