its the biggest/most important series in the world according to you guys- why the hell is there no sand track in the ama championship?!!
It would make the series better- i miss southwick. Would be GREAT to see a round in florida at a proper sand track, and to see more variation in the tracks in general.

The Shop
should they have the Amish out there tilling it with horses for a couple rounds? should they water it with seltzer water at one race?
You till it, and you water it, then you race on it. Not sure where that leaves room for variety.
Some of you dudes are so disconnected and permanently set in "complain" mode.
And for your info I'm definitely not disconnected or complaining....just repeating what many of the riders have said about the tracks. But of course you would know being from Canada and all because you can see it on your TV...
at least you're honest.
It's done the way it is done to keep dust down for the TV package and allow for the track to develop the best it can for racing. If you change things up, you get dust, or you get a track with only one fast line. in either one of those cases, you've got the same group of people bitching about it on the internet, man. think about it. what can you do differently to dirt?
p.s. im a local at a mainstay of the AMA outdoor series.
Pit Row
The rest of you must not have attended Redbud or Millville or Freestone.
Doesn't decomposed granite, like at GH, count?
I probably left out some and these are just National tracks.
In Italy we only have one good sand track in Mantova and some few less important.
When you go racing in our tracks you'll probably find hard pack
TC222 is so strong in sand because he has always been practicing in Belgium where he mostly lives.
WOW!
Its one of the most difficult tracks to go fast on after practice.
Only issue is lap times for pros is 1:55 and below
I don't see a way to add more races.
But,if 2 tracks were added then a rotation thru the lineup where a track would lose a race ever 6 yrs or whatever it needs to be so there is the same amount of races but 2 different tracks drop out each year till rotation complete the repeat.
It doesn't get any more sandy than that...
In fact, they could run 6 of the 12 rounds there...that ought to level the playing field with the GP's. Am I right, or am I right?
Post a reply to: the ama series needs a sand track!
