I'll tell you what..., He earned plenty of respect in Belgium, in his riding skill, determination and graciousness in defeat (that's if 3rd really qualifies as defeat?). I secrectly hope he puts your "Big Four" in their place.

I don't think he will come in and make waves with those guys but he will be fast and hard to pass. With Jeff Stanton advising him, I would think he won't try to piss people off at first.

He's one of those guys with a good start or holeshot could really shake things up quick.

I think Barcia is going to jump right in with those top guys, for sure top 5 guy every race. Wilson I see struggling this year. I don't really get the hype around him.

Barcia will definitely shake shit up! He was right there in the mix in '11 outdoors with limited time on the bike. I got a really awesome feeling he is going to cause some drama in the 450's all around! Guys like Reed and Dungey are going to be bitching about his aggresiveness. Haha can't wait. And I imagine some fireworks when him and stewart get together. As far as wilson I don't really see him killing it indoors. But outdoors he should be up front.

I think barcia is gonna be a lot like canard his first year in the bigs, just as fast anyone and winning races right off the bat.

I look for some real solid and fast rides from him and Canard both this season. I dunno.....I have a feeling Trey is going to surprise some people this year. If he can stay healthy........he will be battling for the box. We've already seen the speed he has on the 450's.....I don't think this year year will be any different as far as that goes. Just crossing my fingers that he ( and the other guys ) stay healthy through the season.

So sick and tired of seeing these guys on the side lines.

Yea I can't take another injury riddled season. We have so much depth in the 450's now. It will stay exciting all year long if everyone stays in one piece! There will literally be like 6 guys who have the speed to win and another handful of dark horses. Could be intense!

I think Roczen has mad respect over here. He did great this past year. I think all roads for the titles in the 250's go through him and tomac this year.

I think Barcia will be (in his own words) "Awesome" kid is a badass... I am looking forward to SX this year after watching what was a pretty boring outdoor 450 season with a few highlights.

Not to mention the fact that he has battled at the front pretty much in every race since moving to the pros....

I think he will have his growing pains, like most do.

He will get the same welcome as Weimer did last year.

Which one does not have a big bike SX championship or 10+ victories in the class?

No disrespect to Trey, but from a numerical perspective, he's not there yet.

Honestly I just want everyone healthy. If that happens we could end up with 6-7 potential race winners.

Hey your both right, he did win the outdoor championship and he has battled up front. I guess what I meant and didn't say was what the hype is around him racing the 450 supercross. He got handled by Tomac and the only reason it was close was cause Tomac wadded him self. I just don't think that Wilson is not a top supercross guy.

No disrespect to Weimer, but Barcia is faster and tougher.

Everyone is coming back from injury, except Dungey but Dungey is not faster than Barcia. Barcia is gonna win!

Barcia and Villopoto seem like the makings of a great rivalry. I believe he'll be at the front right away, I don't see any growing time needed. The guy is fast and has a stylish side to him on and off the bike that remind me a ton of a young Rick Johnson. I think it's just what the sport needs right now too. Reagan

Should be a good one. I don't think Barcia will go out of his way to be "nice" to anyone. Looking forward to the races. And Vegas. From what I'm told, I had a blast the last time I was there...//TJ

Barcia will give the lowest amount of phucks humanly possible and it will result in a race win and about 4 races to forget about...

Can't wait to see how he does. Iv'e never been a huge fan but as a lot of other Europeans have said, I also found his MXDN performance very inspiring and difficult not to respect. I think Justin will be top 5 almost all the time, sometimes top 3 and perhaps a potential SX winner this year too.

Not sure how the OP would answer the question, but I look at it differently from you. Regardless of past titles, Canard has proven himself to be a threat to straight up beat Stewart, RV, Dungey and Reed in the 450 class any time he lines up, and has set himself apart with those guys from all the other riders in the class. There's no real dispute about that, although it remains to be seen whether his injuries are going to hold him back.

Barcia has smoothed out, grown up and found his consistency. He will be there every week. His starts are magnificent, so, unless your name is Mike Alessi or Ryan Villopoto you better plan on passing him every week if you want to beat him.
