the story behind this 07 is that it was a replacement bike from the other 250 kx that got stolen .the first bike was stolen out of town.this one in his garage.they actualy moved his mtb's out of the way to take this and the cervelo mentioned in other topic.

My ex brother inlaw is a detective for D.B.P.D and pretty sharp about tracking down scum,Hope they find them and the bikes,I'm gonna call him tomorrow and see what he knows.

So, what's the story? Did he try to sell it and some asshole got his address? Or they knew from before? Or some dick head was passing and spotted the bike when it was exposed?

dr sweden,the first kx was stolen in a town called deland.buddy was staying at his girlfriends home that time.
the latest ,the bikes were in his garage w/ many other bikes.they went thru the small door in the back while he was asleep.they or he or her for that matter, moved his mountainbike outt of the way to get to the kx.i feel they took the cervelo cus it was soo new over the other bikes. but the kx has wide bars ,passing it thru the doorway couldnt be easy.
there was a party next store n the police questioned themthat next morning n they seemed nervous.they are in there early 20's.
i told my buddy to approach the neighbor kid n tell him to return items in his back yard ,site un seen n wont press charges in future.he responded to him he didnt steal them and will ask his friends if they did?? there garage is empty by the way.

I just went through this, the only advice I can give is money talks... Put up a reward for both bikes. When mine got stolen I lost all sense of political correctness (is that a word?) and went straight for the hood.. Everyone knew about it and I actually got it back a few days later. Keep on it, if you put the pressure on the bike the scumbags will want to get rid of it quick. The dude I got it back from said the bike was so hot everyone was looking for it and he didn't want to deal with it.

I remember when that went down. You went all commando on the hood. That was a great story .. I hate to see what you would be like if your kid was stolen..lloll

Zippy I wish your friend luck. I, like you, would assume the neighbors know whats up and pursue that avenue.

We did the same thing when my friend's 05 CR250 was stolen out of the back of my truck while we were at the shop. We got a clue from a muffler shop guy across the street that saw the thief bumpstart the bike and take off in a certain direction. A couple of days later I started talking to everyone I could find in the neighborhoods in that vicinity and I found a 7 year old kid that pointed out a house and told me that he saw a red dirt bike the day before. I knocked on the door and talked to the owner and then he talked to his teenage son. They were white trash scumbags that denied any knowledge of the bike but were unusually helpful. I could sense that they knew something though. The next day my friend went over there and lost his cool on the dad and the shit almost hit the fan. Interestingly, two days later the police found the bike abandoned in a ditch.

I agree with the others though, don't wait for the Police, start turning over any rocks you can and post a shitload of reward fliers.

Bogdan.......so happy you got your bike back man! that was one hell of a story i read. people should hire you to track down stolen bikes......did it better than what the cops could do!
