I had t1 through t6 fused 2 rods and 9 screws. dr just says do what you feel you can. it could take 6 months to a yr to heal. he is very vague with his answers lol. anyone else close to this section of surgery?
honestly my neck and arm are the bad part. back feels fine.

The Shop
T2-T7 screwed and glued. I broke T3 in half and put a vertical fracture through T4. Ten 3-inch screws, two rods, and two metal straps was the outcome. Crashed head first into whoops at an Arenacross while leading my main. Went from hero to zero in a flash. I have some general discomfort with an occasional sharp pain if I lift something heavy with bad posture. Biggest issue is mobility in my neck.....mostly just muscles being a little tight.
My injury was 12-years ago and I have raced cross country races and amateur days at Washougal during national weekend since my crash. I was 40 when I crashed and now I'm over 50. I had a spectacular wipeout 6 years ago while leading a cross country race and tore my ACL. I am switching over to SxS's now....a Polaris RZR Turbo. You know what they say, with age comes a cage.
I live life fully without any restrictions, but I am mindful about putting myself in a position that could put me on my head.
