took off Friday for a weekend of riding and kinda forgot that there was a race going on. i don't have CBSSports so i didn't get to watch, but it looks like USA did good to get a podium, France killed it, and Chad Reed ate shit on the start harder than anyone i've ever seen... hope he's ok.

here's a couple pics from my weekend. put in about 120 miles over 2 days, Saturday rained balls all day so that ride was interesting but a lot of fun. Sunday was perfect weather, then got slammed again by rain. the pictures are from Sunday evening just before the rain hit. was pretty sketchy riding back to camp in a monsoon with lightning storm all around, but made for some cool pics. unforturnately my GoPro is missing the case, misplaced in Mexico i believe, but a new one is on the way.

hope you bros enjoyed watching the MXoN and not too much fighting going on.

oh yeah, how about that Dean Wilson guy? impressive as hell

You don't miss a damn thing when you actually go out and ride.

Cool pics. What the deal with the 719? I ran that number at a few out of state races cause it's our area code.

@bsharky - thanks, it rocks. it's the '12 250XC with the 300 kit. i'm in the process of making it street legal for dual sport rides.

@cygnus, i've been running it for a LONG time. i ran the local numbers i earned on 80's for a few years and when i went to the World Mini's i was assigned 719. my 5 year old dog was also born on 7/19 which is pretty awesome coincidence.

how much difference did the 300 kit make? or what did you like better. im leaning towards buying a 250sx two stroke after a year or so. but I hear a lot about those 300s. I got a lot of recovery time before I can ride again so its just dreaming right now

the 250sx is a fire breather, i like the tamed down tone of the XC and of the 300. it's a totally different hit of power, smoother and longer lasting in my opinion. as for the XC vs SX talk, i don't regret my decision one bit. i don't do much moto anymore, but when i do, it's very capable on the track. it shines offroad though and that's all i do anymore.

@Guy, the Redbull Rampage is on my 3 year list, i'm definitely going... but they're fucking nuts

@Seth, sorry to hear that, heal up soon. i had a couple close calls myself but never found myself on the dirt

@Camp, already on the list bro

Gautier Paulin rode like Magoo in '82.
Martin had a huge crash in practice that slowed him down.
Going riding was a much better choice than sitting home watching people ride.
