Euro SX only I suppose for now; that is already a great news, thanks to Bud Racing, it would be greater if that could lead into participating to the SX season in the US, although it looks like the team is already full with 6 riders. Let us see how it turns up.

Why not? Bud Racing, as an european team, having Pourcel racing the whole AMA SX series, and then having up to 6 racers in the GP's.

Sounds like a huge exposure.

Bud Racing is been always a reference, why wouldn't they finally settle a team in USA?

It's not Payton, it's Sébastien Dassé, one of the Dassé brothers, owners of the team BUD Racing...

So Bud Racing have chosen Öhlins for suspension. Interesting. Back in the days when Christophe rode for Pfeil Kawasaki in the GPs they had Öhlins suspension. Christophe won his first championship on one. But never thought I would see him back on Öhlins, and I doubt he will race it in SX. Same for Chad Reed. he was supposed to switch to Öhlins after outdoors. He's not going to race Öhlins in SX.

Josh Grant won a 450 outdoor moto this year, what has Malcolm won recently? I mean sure he put in some good performances at the straight rhythm and the MEC but that doesn't get your team exposure like winning a 450 moto. I really hope that Malcolm does get a ride but I'm not surprised that Grant has a ride, he is pretty much the "best of the rest" behind the top guys like Roczen, Dungey, Canard etc

Grant has been much much much more injury prone through the years, I'm assuming that's the point he was getting at.

I'm sorry, but he should have a SX ride right now, sucks that his personality (or public perception of) holds him back. He is who he is though...

JG looked really good in practice & testing, yesterday (SX). As did RV & Tyla (MX). It's gonna be a real interesting year.

He's going to have to get faster quick to compete at the races he's doing.

He didn't look fast when he won that national this summer as well. His riding style is effortless

Great to see pourcel get a ride somewhere and great rider for bud hopefully they will have a lot of success

Yeah but he flows. He just looks like he needs to shake off some SX rust.

The bottom line is that a team should have signed him early and allow him some stability and a chance to get comfortable. You sign him based on not only his ceiling but because of his proven track record of pulling himself up to winning caliber from tough situations.

Pourcel never rode for Pfeil Kawasaki. The team was GPKR Kawasaki.

Interesting to read that. Guess its hard to compete against Showa, kyb and WP for smaller companies.
