one of the more popular snownboard apparel companies, Grenade, is planning to go into MX. Gear looks pretty fugly, i would expect better from them. Hopefully their higher end apparel will look better.

I will continue with companies proven to support the sport of mx/sx, on a large scale.
What has Grenade done?

Grenade is owned by Danny Kass, one of the better and more popular pro snowboarders out there today. He has won Olympic medals in half pipe and also has a reality show on Fuel TV called "Danny and the Dingo". The comany started out just making snowboard gloves (much like Nate Adams Deft brand) and has since expanded into clothing and apparel as well.

i'm sure they will appeal to the more "casual" riders and freestyle type crowd who likely already know who they are. A challenge to the likes of Fox, Thor, etc they definitely are not, but i'm sure they will have their niche.

I actually think it would be OK minus the grenade and military stripes... doh.

I would bet you will see a lot of this at Glamis soon.

A snowboard company trying to do moto stuff! How 1998, I'm getting nostalgic. It will appeal to the tools who look to Danny Kass as their leader. Hey maybe they can have a freestyle team do demos at SXs.

I like the enthusiasm and getting into MX but at the same time it's like have they watched a motocross race in the last 15 years? or just been watchin crusty demons? All I gotta say is someone dropped the ball when it came to marketing research.

Grenade is a great snowboard company that has really grown in the last couple of years. They have taken an idea on the slopes a couple years ago and turned it into a a huge company with a very loyal following. I expect if they continue to follow the same path that they took in snowboarding they will be successful. Although I def think that the gear shown is a large disappointment and that they are capable of much more, but for all we know what is shown is a prototype.

First something nice, cool to see new companies, especially cross-overs. However, that is ugly, it looks like paintball gear crossed with Wal-Mart brand mx gear. Sorry, I hope they make a better run at it than that.

While I like the enthusiasm that Grenade is showing, they really need to hire some clothing designers that have been in the MX industry and knows MX design. The gear shown in that article is really horrible looking. Looks like a Wal-Mart special really...

I really wish these companies that try and start up in the MX gear game would actually come out with something that would make a consumer want to switch from what they are currently using to their brand. It's all good that they want to get in on MX, but do they really think that someone who has been using FOX for 10 years is going to see that and and cant live without it?

Call me sentimental, but seeing Big E post on here(if you are truly the original), is but one example of folks who have worked for companies like Answer, MSR, Thor, FLY and so on, that have truly supported even the lowly privateer AX racer.
My few dollars spent will go into their coffers.
OT- it is truly sad how the corporate swapping have left some good people disillusioned and divorced from companies they have spent years helping build. Another day, perhaps.

I like having a new palyer; but, art-work/color-way...

That's a 'Do-Over'.

Yo, E, call lil' D, he'll find someone!

I'm jus' sayin'...

I'd rather wear paintball gear, and I am a snowboarder as well. Epic Fail, send me a template and I will do Grenade a favor along with those who plan on buying the crap.

The pants have potential. They would look a lot better if it had a logo on the thigh though.
