If it was in the second half of the season and they were competitive in the points -- too nice. But in the first race, maybe just smart to take 2nd.

Barcia was doing a great job shutting the door in every corner. The one corner KR was getting close to pass was in the rhythm section after the whoops but that corner was deep ruts inside the berm so it wasn’t a corner you could put a strong block pass on.

Plus he knew if he slams Barcia, it’s coming back twice as hard and that 1st or 2nd will become a 4th-7th.
