go with a 500 2-stroke.

get a 2002 yz250f.......those things are bomb proof due to the 1.5 quart oil capacity. a 14 year old beginner ain't gonna ring that thing out so it should be relatively cheap ($2k) and will tear up Raceway Park......

....don't ever mention quads here again though. (friendly advice)

any brand 125 2 stroke of the modern era. this way when the top end goes you can afford to fix it and still ride...

no a 125 is a FULLsize bike... in a nutshell the 125 2 stroke races in the same class as the 250 four stroke (4strokes inherent weaker design means it needs alot more cc's to be equal to the 2 stroke) and the 250 2 stroke is in the same class and the 450 4 stroke (again the 2 stroke is heavily out cc'ed).... id recommend this one.... Yamaha YZ125....

For sure a new 125 will do the trick. Try to find a new but older model and you'll save a ton of money by taking it off a dealer's hands. Also, if possible look in the US. Prices are MUCH cheaper there than here in Canada. I've seen brand new year old 125s for $3000.00 in the US.

Welcome to VitalMX! Be careful, there be DRAGONS here!

Montgomeryville Cycle Center has a new 2007 Honda CR125 on the floor for $3,997. plus $129(?) for freight & set-up. Add 6% sales tax. Should be a little over 1.5 hr. drive for you.

15% parts & acc. discount too, if you buy from them. You can order parts online and still get the discount.

Buy it now and you can probably get in on their Customer Appreciation free ride day at Pagoda Motorcycle Club on Sat. August 3rd. Just mention it if you call/buy.

Ask for Mike Cepress 215-712-7433 and tell him Ted from the race team said to give a call. Tues-Fri 9am-7pm, Sat 9am-5pm

Depending how tall you are... 5'5 and up, 125 two stroke under that, 85 or 100 2stroke or a crf150r if you're willing to drop a coin or two. If ya wanna be cool, get a used beat up klx 110 and mod it out and do some mini races on it.Cool

I like the KX crash right behind him at the 1:16 mark. Can't remember how many times I've low-sided it like that.

Get ahold of me when your sure you want one....I will have a 2007 YZ125 available very soon and a 2008 YZ125 by Sept/Oct......and I live less than an hour from you. We are usually at Raceway Park on wednesdays if you want to stop by! They are used but very well maintaned...and I can give you a real good deal too Wink

The 125 is the best bet....my son is 5' 9" and 135 lbs and also 14 yrs old.
