Looking at getting an inexpensive bike trainer to spin on through the winter. I have a 29er mountain bike, can most of these handle the taller tires?
Wouldn't mind some suggestions! I don't want to buy a full spin bike for something that will only see use for the winter months.

The Shop
Wahoo has them refurbished for $650, they are 1200 new. I know it's still a lot of money for someone looking for entry level equipment, but I think you could sell it and not lose much money if you didn't like it.
This is the one I currently use. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Minoura-Mag-Ride-60R-w-Remote-7-Levels-Bike-Tr…
130 bucks.

190 bucks. Fits a 29" and you would not have to change your tire.
Now keep in mind these things are exercise equipment and can be scored CHEAP used. I got my current trainer for 60 bucks. I saw a couple months ago on my local craigslist, dude was selling 4 of them for 70 bucks. I'd look around first
Cheap trainers usually suck. I only paid $175 for mine on sale at Nashbar.
I normally turn on a training video and do 30 min to 60 min interval rides.
