I saw (on t.v.) the mechs trying to cut the brake hose with what looked like a pair of bolt cutters. Looked like he wanted back out there...I'd rather lose a rear than front brake.

Anyone know how far in the first he lost his goggle lense!?!? Surprised he didn't pull in and get a new set...

Bad day for sure, hopefully it'll light a fire under his ass so he can grab some starts!!!

This happened just a couple laps in. Bt101 stalled in a corner and reed came around right into him.

He knew it was an issue, and was half-throttling around.

There is only one thing to do in that situation and that is pull off.

Give up on the 15-18 points he may have won because that thing was gonna end up in the spokes.

People think he's out of it already?

Far from it.

could he have gained any points by cutting the line and returning to the track? I didn't see how many riders were laps down at the end. The first moto was certainly strange. He seemed to reel in a group then end up back a couple of spots. Bad weekends happen, Reed will still be there at the end of the season.

Stopping power versus the ability to handle obstacles, I'd rather have the rear brake in that circumstance.

Gotta give Reed some credit, even rolling the track with that thing flopping around could be trouble in a hurry!

Maybe Reed's mechanic needs to watch more Nascar. That's a duct tape fix right there.

Pro Circuit rule #3-There shall be no Duct Tape applied to PC Motorcycle for any reason.

No sweat Wood, if you would rather only have the front brake on a track full of ruts, jumps, and other bullshit that's cool. I would prefer to have a brake that works on the wheel that is in contact with the ground more often thus giving you the ability to use it. Have a great day superstar.

Remember how when he broke a wheel the team showed up the next week with a parts cart with wheels on it?

I'm surprised they don't have a master cylinder-brake line-caliper assembly pre-bled and ready to throw on.

Another thing that we did in sports car racing was have Staubli no-fluid-loss dry-break fittings on the caliper. You could put these on the master cylinder and caliper, and have a brake line fitted with them and pressurized with fluid. Pop off the dry-breaks without tools and change the line in seconds.

Only a rear brake dragger would want to keep that useless rear brake.

What are these Kawasaki made of. Tin pot metal?
Back in the days you could t-bone people and your bike would still be in one piece.
Bike or riders, they sure don't make them like they used to...
